Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 8 is $300 off ahead of Black Friday

5 November 2026 at 20:12

Android fans with a bit of iPhone Duo envy, take note: The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 is discounted to $1,599.99 at both Amazon and Best Buy, a hefty $300 markdown from its usual price, and just $50 higher than the lowest we’ve seen. Considering the device only launched a few months ago, you’re saving a significant amount of cash on the unlocked device, and you can also opt for the 512GB model, doubling the storage, for just $200 more (Amazon, Best Buy). Best Buy currently has all three colors in stock, while the 256GB model is currently sold out on Amazon in cream.

The shorter and wider passport-style shape (similar to the iPhone Duo) quickly became natural and comfortable to handle, according to our reviewer Dominic Preston’s experience with the Z Fold 8. Despite its thin and light construction, it doesn’t skimp on battery life, with a 4,800mAh battery that still had 40 percent charge remaining after a full day of use. The interior 4:3 screen has the same ratio as most Apple iPads, which is great for watching movies or TV, but even better for reading. There’s no telephoto lens on this model (it’s present on the pricier Z Fold 8 Ultra), and it only has an IP48 rating, so you’ll want to be careful near the beach, but those are small compromises to make given the discounted price.

Other deals to consider

  • Both Amazon and Best Buy are selling the Beats Pill for a discounted $99.95 and $99.99 respectively, a sizable break from the usual $149.99 price point. The 2024 edition of this iconic Bluetooth speaker adds in lossless audio over USB-C, as well as native feature support for both iOS and Android devices. It’s rated IP67 for dust and water resistance, and comes in three different colors to match your other Beats devices. Read our review.
  • The Ring Battery Doorbell 2K is on sale for $39.99 at Amazon, over half off its $99.99 list price. This battery-powered doorbell camera is easy to install, and shoots clear 2K resolution video with a 140-degree field of view and up to 6X digital zoom. You’ll get real-time notifications on your phone for any activity the camera spots, with live view and two-way talk in case you need to have a chat with your neighbors or delivery folks without coming to the front door.
  • You can pick up the Lego Star Wars: Ahsoka Chopper set for just $66.99 at Amazon, the lowest price we’ve seen yet for this 1,039-piece building kit. This brick-based droid has great play features, like detachable arms and center wheel for different display positions, and a head that spins and bobs realistically. It stands at over 8.5 inches when fully built, making it a fun addition to your existing Lego display or bookshelf.

Ember’s smallest self-heating mug is on sale for just $33

5 November 2026 at 18:34

We’ve been fans of Ember’s temperature-controlled mugs for years, though given the price tag, we admit that they’re somewhat of a luxury purchase. Thankfully, if you’ve been looking for a more affordable option, Woot is selling the Ember Cup in black for $32.99 ($67 off) with a 90-day warranty through November 7th. You can potentially save even more as part of Woot’s larger Home and Kitchen Sale, which lets you save an additional $20 off orders of $100 or more when you use code COOK at checkout.

Ember Cup (six-ounce)

Where to Buy:

Granted, six ounces isn’t much, but the smaller, handle-free cup is well-suited for cappuccinos, cortados, flat whites, and other espresso-based drinks. It’s also a perfectly fine option if you don’t mind refilling your cup of coffee, cocoa, or tea throughout the day. I’m actually tempted to pick one up myself at this price, especially since I’ve been trying (with varying degrees of success) to cut back on coffee.

Like Ember’s larger mugs, the smart cup lets you choose and set your drinking temperature between 120 and 145 degrees Fahrenheit using a companion app, then remembers your setting for future drinks. It can then maintain that temperature for up to 95 minutes on a charge, up to four hours with a lid, or even all day if you leave it on the included charging dock. The cup also automatically enters sleep mode after two hours of inactivity to conserve power. Just keep in mind that, despite its IPX7 water-resistance rating, the cup is hand-wash only.

Bose’s QuietComfort Headphones are more than half off

4 November 2026 at 22:13
Bose’s QuietComfort headphones

It’s not often that some of the best noise-canceling headphones you can buy are over half off. But right now, the first-gen Bose QuietComfort Headphones are on sale for $169.99 ($190 off) at Amazon, Best Buy, and Bose, matching its best price to date. The newer, second-generation version that launched in August is also down to $199 ($160 off) in multiple colors at Amazon, Best Buy, and directly from Bose, which is just $20 shy of the all-time low price.

Bose QuietComfort Headphones

Where to Buy:

Bose QuietComfort Headphones Gen 2

Gen 2 Bose QuietComfort Headphones sitting on a pale yellow surface next to a USB-C charger and black Bose case.

Where to Buy:

While Bose’s original QuietComfort Headphones are no longer the latest model, they’re still a solid option for anyone seeking effective noise cancellation, good sound, and 24-hour battery life without spending a fortune. They also support multipoint Bluetooth connectivity, so you can connect to two devices simultaneously, and they feature a lightweight, foldable design that makes them easy to pack.

The second-generation QuietComfort Headphones build on that foundation with a few worthwhile upgrades for $30 more. Of note, our reviewer John Higgins considers their default sound profile to be the best he’s heard from Bose, even better than the flagship $449 QuietComfort Ultra Gen 2. They also support lossless audio via USB-C. While he thought that vocals sounded a bit muted, he was able to fix the issue by tweaking the three-band equalizer in Bose’s companion app. Higgins also considers the QuietComfort Headphones more comfortable than the Ultra thanks to their lack of “eardrum suck,” the unpleasant sensation of ear pressure from a strong active noise cancellation effect.

Google’s Pixel 11 phones are up to 27 percent off

4 November 2026 at 20:00

You can save a heck of lot of money on Google’s Pixel 11 phones through November 8th, whether you want the best-for-the-least Pixel 11, or the slightly pricier Pixel 11 Pro that takes better photos. Even the big Pixel 11 Pro XL with a longer-lasting battery is hundreds off its original price.

The Pixel 11 Pro deal is the most attractive of the bunch, as the $1,099.99 phone with 256GB storage and 12GB of RAM is down to just $799.99 at Amazon, Best Buy, and at the Google Store, beating its October Prime Day price by $50. It’s $100 less than the base Pixel 11 model sold for at launch, and it’s the phone to get if you want great camera performance, plus extra features like HiLight that, while cool, weren’t really worth paying a premium to access. I’d be very surprised if the price dropped more for Black Friday.

There’s absolutely nothing wrong with opting for the Pixel 11 instead, especially at its attractive $699.99 ($200 off) price that now matches the cost of the iPhone 17E, following Apple’s September price bump. The Pixel 11 is the most affordable phone that supports Google’s software features that are exclusive to this year’s phones, including Magic Capture, Camera Looks, and Proactive Assistance. It has fast 25W wireless charging (up from 15W with the Pixel 10), and has 12GB of RAM, like the Pixel 11 Pro.

I’m still happily rocking my Pixel 9 Pro, but if I were going to upgrade right now, I’d get the Pixel 11 Pro. Yes, I want the better cameras and HiLight. But really, the main reason I’m lured to the Pro is because the trade-in offers are really generous right now. It’s just $10 more to opt for the Pro over the base Pixel 11. My base Pixel 9 Pro with 128GB of storage can fetch $530 in trade-in credit at the Google Store and $525 at Best Buy, which seems great.

My favorite 25W wireless power bank is down to $35

4 November 2026 at 16:57
An image showing a red iPhone with Baseus’ AM52 10,000mAh battery attached to its back.

If you’re someone who owns an iPhone, you might have considered getting a MagSafe power bank that can quickly recharge it. I tested a handful of options that claim to deliver 25W Qi2.2 speeds wirelessly, and my top pick was Baseus’ AM52 10,000mAh battery, which happens to be steeply discounted right now at Amazon. Originally $80 but commonly available for $59.99, the code M4JLY1W2 (shared via Slickdeals) knocks it down to a much more reasonable $35.29 at checkout. The only difference between the discounted model and the one pictured below is that it lacks a built-in USB-C cable.

Baseus PicoGo AM52 Qi2.2 Magnetic Power Bank

The AM52’s MagSafe-ready design means it can snap onto newer iPhones and supply up to 25W of power, and because it has a USB-C port, it can also charge a Nintendo Switch 2 and other electronics.

Where to Buy:

I like this model for more than just its fast wireless charging speed; The side that snaps to your phone has a soft-touch material, so you don’t need to worry about it scratching your device. Also, it can quickly recharge devices via its 45W USB-C port, making it a solid power bank to tote around if you need to give a little juice to your gaming handheld or laptop.

Some other great deals for you

  • We last featured a deal on the step-climbing Dreame X50 Ultra mopping robovac in late September when it dropped down to $850 via the manufacturer. If you happened to miss out on that $250 off deal, there’s currently an even better one happening at Wellbots, and it’s exclusive to Verge readers. With the code VERGEVAC25 used at checkout the $1,099.99 cleaner will drop to $824.25, the lowest price we’ve seen from any retailer. The kit includes the vacuum, accessories, and a base station where X50 Ultra autonomously empty its trash bin, refill its water for mopping and have its mopping pads cleaned and dried. This model is one of my colleague Jennifer Pattison Tuohy’s favorite models of 2026.
  • I totally get it if you’re wishing The Elder Scrolls VI: Sentinels would arrive already. While it may be years away from launch, there’s a fantastic game that I recommend to fill the void. Microsoft-owned Obsidian Entertainment’s Avowed is a first-person action RPG from 2025 that delivers a great story, satisfying gameplay that blends swords, guns, and magic, plus a branching narrative. It’s cheaper than ever to own on Steam via a deal from Fanatical that currently has it at $24.99, which is half off. Read our review.
  • While Amazon’s Alexa Tablet 8 likely isn’t a very speedy tablet, it’s one of just a few eight-inch Android tablets out there right now that has a slick design. Originally $229.99, this model recently got its first price cut, knocking the lockscreen ad-supported tablet down to $199.99 at Amazon. The Alexa Tablet is replacing Amazon’s lineup of Fire HD tablets, and the biggest difference is the new tablet’s support for the Google Play Store, which gives you access to countless apps and games.

The Pixel Buds Pro 2 have returned to their lowest price to date

3 November 2026 at 21:29

Android owners looking for an earbud upgrade are in luck. The Google Pixel Buds Pro 2 are back down to $169 at Amazon, Best Buy, and the Google Store, matching the lowest price we’ve seen. Google’s site claims the deal will last until 11:59PM PT on November 8th, and other retailers will likely follow suit. Some colors are already sold out, however, so it’s worth checking multiple retailers if you don’t see your preferred option.

The Pro 2 are great for Android owners and work particularly well with Pixel phones, which receive some extra tricks, including tighter Gemini integration. We praised the wireless earbuds for their improved design, which cut both weight and size while improving the comfort and fit. They have more powerful noise cancellation and a better transparency mode, though they still don’t quite match up to some of the best in the industry, like the latest Bose Ultra Earbuds. The default tuning leans towards clarity and crisp detail, rather than boosted bass, with both presets and a five-band EQ to adjust them to your liking.

Other deals to consider

  • Nintendo Switch owners can pick up Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition from the Nintendo Store for just $5.99, a steep discount from the usual price of $29.99. The updated version of the first game in Gearbox’s storied looter-shooter series features “bazillions” of guns, visual upgrades, and all four of the DLC packs. The deal runs until 11:59PM PT on November 6th.
  • The refurbished Fellow Aiden is on sale at Fellow’s online storefront for $299.95, a $100 discount. The coffee maker brews anywhere from a single cup to a full carafe of pour-over-quality coffee, with scheduling available both on the machine and via the Aiden app. Refurb units have been thoroughly tested and come with a one-year warranty, too, just in case there are any issues.
  • Prime Members can score a 26 percent discount on ESR’s Cyclone Magnetic Charging Pad at Amazon, lowering the price of the silver and black units to $36.99 ($13 off). The wireless charger supports up to 25 watts, with a built-in fan to keep both the charger and your device cool. The integrated stand also lets you use the charger while you catch up on YouTube, and the 5.9-foot cable means you aren’t glued to an outlet.

Google’s Gemini-powered Home Speaker is already on sale for 20 percent off

3 November 2026 at 19:11
Google Home Speaker

If you’re looking for a good smart speaker, the Google Home Speaker is down to around $79 ($20 off) in all four colors at Best Buy, Walmart, and Target. That’s the best price we’ve seen for the Gemini-powered speaker, which launched in June and represents Google’s first smart speaker in several years.

In her review, my colleague Jennifer Pattison Tuohy noted that Google’s new Home Speaker offers a nice balance of sound quality, size, and design. It’s smaller than the prior-gen Nest Audio, making it easy to place anywhere in your home. However, despite its small size, it produces loud, clear audio with 360-degree sound. Our own David Pierce even found it sounded cleaner, louder, and sharper than Amazon’s similarly priced Echo Dot Max, though Tuohy preferred the latter’s fuller sound and stronger bass. The older Nest Audio still sounds better overall, but Google’s latest speaker takes up less space and costs slightly less.

The Google Home Speaker also offers a few useful smart home upgrades. It supports Matter and includes a Thread border router, allowing you to connect and control a wide range of compatible smart home devices. It’s also the first Google smart speaker that can double as an audio output for the Google TV Streamer 4K, letting you play TV audio through one or two speakers instead of your TV’s built-in speakers. Tuohy found it worked well and delivered clear dialogue, though sound quality varied depending on what she was watching.

One of its most notable features is support for Gemini, which is also available on older Google speakers and is much better at understanding natural language and complex requests than the old Google Assistant. In her testing, Tuohy found it could handle multiple smart home commands at once and respond to conversational requests, like turning down the air conditioner when she mentioned feeling too hot. It’s also particularly impressive at answering general knowledge questions, though it can be slow and unreliable at times. Keep in mind, too, that some features require a $10-a-month Google Home Premium subscription, including Gemini Live, which lets you have extended conversations with the assistant without repeating the wake word.

The Apple Watch Ultra 4 is $100 off, matching its best price to date

2 November 2026 at 20:24
Apple Watch Ultra 4

The Apple Watch Ultra 4 is the company’s most capable smartwatch. Whether you intend to put its many tracking features to the test, or you simply want the longest battery life of any Apple Watch, it’s currently on sale for $699.99 ($100 off) in multiple colors at Amazon, matching its all-time low price.

Apple Watch Ultra 4

Where to Buy:

Powered by Apple’s new S11 chip (also in the Series 12), the Apple Watch Ultra 4 delivers faster performance than the last-gen version, plus a handful of new Apple Intelligence features. Of note, those include Sound Recognition, which alerts you to noises like alarms and doorbells, and the Live Rewind feature that lets you revisit the last 15 seconds of an in-person conversation. An upcoming Siri Recap feature will be able to create summaries of conversations for later reference.

This model has broader health and fitness capabilities than previous models, too. Its sensors promise more accurate EKG measurements, while the watch can track your heart rate as often as every five seconds. The new Readiness feature (not available on the Ultra 3 and earlier models) also analyzes your recent activity, sleep quality, and other health metrics to generate a score from zero to 10, helping you determine whether to push yourself or take it easy.

On the hardware front, battery life is perhaps the biggest highlight, with Apple promising up to 50 hours on a charge — twice as long as the Series 12. Like its predecessor, this model features Apple’s brightest watch display and a rugged design that’s water-resistant up to 100 meters and IP6X-rated for dust resistance. It also retains conveniences like the second-generation Ultra Wideband chip for Precision Finding, and helpful gesture controls so you can you can perform actions with a double tap or flick of your wrist.

Three more ways to save

  • Ugreen’s FineTrack2 Bluetooth tracker is on sale for $13.99 at Amazon, just a few cents shy of its best price to date. The soccer ball-shaped tracker stands out with its playful design, but it also offers some useful features including a non-rechargeable battery can last up to seven years. It works with Apple’s expansive Find My network to help you locate misplaced belongings, while its lanyard makes it easy to attach to your keys, bag, or other items.
  • If you’re looking to spruce up your Apple Watch Ultra or Series smartwatch, a variety of Apple’s official bands are on sale for up to 69 percent off at Woot. The silicone Sport Band is down to $14.99 ($35 off), while the soft, breathable Sport Loop is available for $19.99 ($29 off). You can also grab the rugged Trail Loop for $34.99 ($64 off).
  • Hoto’s new Pulse 4-in-1 Cordless Staple Gun is on sale for $69.99 ($10 off) at Amazon. The versatile tool can help with repairing stuff, or putting together decorations. It works with four types of staples and nails, letting you switch between them depending on the task, while offering two firing modes. It also features a built-in display that shows battery life and alerts you when you can safely fire the stapler and when it’s time to reload it. The stapler comes with 1,200 fasteners.

Best Buy is bundling a $100 gift card with touchscreen MacBook Pro preorders

While the new touch-enabled MacBook Pro with the PROLED XDR screen is available for preorder across a few major retailers, Best Buy is sweetening the deal by including a $100 gift card. The gift card will be automatically added to your cart when you preorder one of Apple’s highest-end laptops available in 14- or 16-inch configurations, and even one of its 14-inch MacBook Pro laptops with the M6 chip. You can verify that it’s been added to your order in the “Complete your purchase” section of the checkout page.

Apple MacBook Pro with PROLED XDR Display

Where to Buy:

My colleague Antonio G. Di Benedetto got a chance to check out the new laptop at Apple’s event, and came away impressed by the Tandem OLED panel’s brightness and contrast, but described the update as “kind of boring” given the relatively small changes to the system otherwise. There are some unique changes to macOS that help make the new touch experience smoother, like magnifying the traffic light-colored buttons on windows when you move your finger near them. The PROLED laptops are also a bit thinner and lighter than standard models, and the Apple logo on the back glows like on older versions.

Vizio’s discounted Mini LED TV lets you skip the sign-ups and smarts

Walmart’s inexpensive Vizio produces a nice, bright image, though its black levels aren’t that deep. | Photo: John Higgins / The Verge

Modern smart TVs let you skip the streaming device, which is convenient, but they also come with their own issues, including privacy concerns and frequent updates. The Vizio Mini LED Quantum TV lets you cut out the rigamarole and just get straight to the HDMI ports. And right now, it’s discounted at Walmart, with the 65-inch model going for $358 ($40 off) and the 85-inch model going for $698 ($100 off).

Although Vizio’s Mini LED TV comes loaded with Vizio OS, you can bypass the TV’s host of agreements during setup. By pushing past the manufacturer’s warnings about “missing out” on smart TV features, you can disable the built-in operating system, letting you use your own streaming device like a Roku or Apple TV 4K without worrying about what data Vizio and Walmart might be collecting.

As for specs, the TV features quantum dots for full, vivid color and high brightness (our testing showed it can reach 936 nits when calibrated thanks to its mini-LED panel). There are some compromises, though, which is expected given the low price point. The IPS panel doesn’t have the best black levels, as you might see on more expensive sets, and there’s a touch of motion blur during faster scenes, which may also hurt its appeal for gamers. It also has three HDMI ports, but they’re only 2.0, although the screen only supports up to 4K at 60Hz, so it’s not detrimental to the experience.

Google’s latest Nest Learning Thermostat is $60 off just in time for sweater weather

30 October 2026 at 16:29
Google Nest Learning Thermostat (fourth-gen)

As the weather cools, it may be worth investing in a smart thermostat to help lower your energy bills. Right now, Google’s fourth-gen Nest Learning Thermostat is on sale in all three colors for $219.99 ($60 off) at Amazon, Best Buy, and The Home Depot, matching its best price of the year and just $10 shy of its all-time low.

Google’s latest Nest Learning Thermostat is its most capable to date, and comes with new features designed to lower energy consumption without sacrificing comfort. Like prior models, it learns your heating and cooling preferences over time and automatically creates a schedule based on your habits, so you don’t have to constantly adjust the temperature yourself. It can also suggest schedule changes to save energy and automatically adjusts the temperature when you’re away. Additionally, it includes a remote temperature sensor in the box, so you can better adjust the temperature in your preferred room, whether that’s the bedroom or another space in your home.

The Nest Learning Thermostat also improves on its predecessor with a beautifully designed adaptive display that shows your temperature settings, the weather, and the time from across the room. When you get closer, it reveals more detailed information, including outdoor air quality and humidity levels. The Matter-ready device also works with more HVAC systems than the third-gen model, along with a host of compatible humidifiers, dehumidifiers, and ventilation equipment. Plus, unlike many smart thermostats, it doesn’t require a C-wire in most homes either, though using one can help ensure consistent power.

Three more deals that aren’t as pricey

  • You can get the black Casio WS-B1000 at Amazon and Walmart for just $23.88 ($41 off), which is its best price to date. The retro-style digital watch lacks advanced health sensors and features like contactless payments, but it does offer some basic fitness tracking, including a built-in step counter and Bluetooth connectivity for syncing your activity data with your phone; it also comes with a stopwatch and alarms. Read our review.
  • We recently highlighted an ongoing deal on a single AirTag, but if you want to stock up, Amazon, Best Buy, and Walmart are now selling a four-pack for $69.99 ($30 off), which is the lowest price we’ve seen. Apple’s second-gen AirTag is our top pick for iPhone owners thanks to its impressively precise tracking, which can guide you directly to a lost item. You can also locate items with an Apple Watch Series 9 or later and share an AirTag’s location with participating airlines, such as United and Delta, helping you recover lost luggage. Read our review.
  • SwitchBot’s 12-inch RGBICWW Ceiling Light is available at Amazon for $36.99 ($12 off) when you clip the on-page coupon, or directly from SwitchBot for the same price with code HWHW26. The Matter-compatible smart light — which is also discounted in a 15-inch size — offers 26 preset scenes, eight lighting effects, and the ability to create your own. The main difference between the two sizes is the brightness: the 15-inch model delivers up to 3,200 lumens, compared to 2,000 lumens for the smaller version.

Ikea’s colorful donut-shaped smart lamp is $20 off

29 October 2026 at 19:18
Ikea’s Varmblixt lamp

With its playful design, versatility, and relatively affordable price, the Ikea Varmblixt quickly became one of my colleague Jennifer Pattison Tuohy’s new favorite smart light products when she tested it in April. Now, the donut-shaped lamp is on sale for $79.99 ($20 off) through November 11th at Ikea.

Ikea Varmblixt lamp

Where to Buy:

window.HYPE_DESK_CONFIG = { productImageUrl: "https://platform.theverge.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/2/2026/10/iphone_17e.png", productImageAlt: "iPhone 17e • Unlocked", productTitle: "iPhone 17e • Unlocked", shortDescription: "Save on an unlocked refurbished iPhone 17e", longDescription: "Upgrade to a 256GB unlocked iPhone 17e without paying full new-device pricing. Don’t let us tell you where you can or cannot put your Varmblixt. But it’s meant to sit on a table or be mounted on a wall (it can hang from a drilled-in screw, nothing fancy). At just 180 lumens, it isn’t particularly bright, so it’s better suited for use as a bedside lamp or for mood lighting than being tasked to illuminate a room. The newer model lets you cycle through 12 preset colors, including shades of pink, blue, green, and white, as opposed to just orange with the predecessor. The included wireless remote lets you switch between colors, adjust the brightness, and turn the lamp on or off without needing an app or a separate hub (there’s a power button on the lamp itself) . You can also use the remote to control other compatible Ikea lights.

For those who want to embed the Varmblixt into their smart home setup, the lamp supports Matter, allowing it to work with compatible smart home platforms including Apple Home, Google Home, and Amazon Alexa. In addition to letting you control the lights with your voice, this gives you access to hundreds more colors, lets you set lighting schedules and sleep or wake-up routines, and allows you to connect the lamp with motion sensors and other smart lights you may have. You can unlock those features with Ikea’s Dirigera hub, as well, which also offers a feature through its Home Smart app that gradually adjusts the shade of white throughout the day akin to natural daylight.

There’s one week left to preorder the Ocarina of Time remake for $10 off

29 October 2026 at 15:24
A physical copy of remake of the Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is shown against a green background with shopping icons.

The long-awaited remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time for Nintendo Switch 2 launches next Thursday, November 5th. In other words, you have a week remaining to secure your physical edition with a $10 discount at Amazon and Walmart. Once the game launches, the physical version will almost certainly go from $59.99 to $69.99 while the digital version will stay at $59.99.

The Legend of Zelda: The Ocarina of Time (Switch 2)

Where to Buy:

Nintendo had the unenviable task of reimagining its Nintendo 64-era masterpiece for the Switch 2, and based on our hands-on time with some sections of the game, it’s a lot of fun to play. The graphics and art style are fantastic, and the controls have been modernized to be simpler to pick up for those who are already experienced with third-person action games, including other modern Zelda titles.

  • It’s tough to find an HDMI dock with more utility than Sharge’s Disk Pro 2. Being a dock for your USB-C gadgets is just one of its skills. The dock houses up to an M.2 2280-size SSD, letting it serve as external storage for your devices to read from or write to. Additionally, it has some useful ports (beyond its HDMI 2.1 4K/144Hz port), like a 5Gbps USB-A port, SD and microSD card slots, plus USB-C passthrough charging for up to 80W. Plus, it has a built-in magnet to let it snap to your iPhone, so long as it supports MagSafe. The “Ultra” version I’ve described costs $80.91 (originally $109.90) once you clip the on-page coupon for 10 percent off. Check out my colleague Sean’s informative and fun hands-on.
  • Do something a little different with your night or weekend by snagging a Play-Doh Blooms kit. It’s not for everyone, but for those who’ve been tempted to build (or gift) a Lego floral bouquet, these Blooms kits look a lot more realistic. Also, they seem fun to piece together, and each set includes all the tools you need to assemble and preserve the flowers. There are several Blooms models, but the Rosy Petite bouquet kit is $18.74, down from $24.99, at Amazon. If you’re already shopping for the holidays, this seems like a nice stocking stuffer.
  • We highlighted this deal recently, but it’s still happening and worth sharing again. Best Buy is one of the few retailers that still sells the M4-equipped Apple Mac Mini, and it’s the only one that’s currently discounting it. Originally $599 when it debuted in 2024, its price increased due to RAMageddon (plus, it was really hard to find in stock). It’s cheaper now for the 16GB RAM / 256GB SSD configuration than it has been for a while, costing you $649. While the M4 model has been outclassed by the new, moderately faster M6 version that’s $779 at Amazon (originally $899), the form factor and port selection are nearly identical. As in, it’s a mini, yet mighty macOS desktop that’s capable of more than you might expect.

Here’s where to preorder the new MacBook Pros

28 October 2026 at 19:10
A person is seated at a table in front of an opened MacBook laptop while working alongside a colleague.

As expected, Apple finally showed off its 14- and 16-inch MacBook Pros at its recent "Pro and tell" event. The long-awaited laptops feature a Tandem OLED display with full touch capabilities, while also cutting some weight and bringing back the glowing Apple logo. While less exciting, there's also an updated 14-inch MacBook Pro that features Apple's M6 chip, along with improved wireless connectivity. It's a small, somewhat iterative update of the prior generation, with no substantial new features beyond performance gains.

Alongside the MacBook updates, Apple also announced an M6-equipped iMac that starts at $1,499, with the same color varia …

Govee’s colorful smart string lights are down to their best price of the year

28 October 2026 at 16:34
Govee Christmas String Lights 2
Govee’s Christmas String Lights 2 are on sale in all four sizes. | Image: Govee

Halloween isn’t even here yet, but it’s never too early to start thinking about holiday decorations, especially when there are already deals on smart, programmable lights. If you want your house, tree, fireplace, or whatever else to stand out this year, Govee’s Christmas String Lights 2 are on sale starting at $74.99 ($25 off) at Amazon and directly from Govee for the 66-foot version, matching the best price we’ve seen this year. Larger sizes are also on sale, with the 99-foot version going for $96.99 ($33 off) and the 164-foot set going for $149.99 ($50 off). The largest of the four, the 328-foot set, is on sale for $259.99 ($140 off).

Despite their name, the smart string lights aren’t just good for Christmas. You can customize the color of individual LEDs, making it easy to switch from spooky Halloween colors to a more festive red and green a few weeks later, and any color in between. You can also choose from over 130 of Govee’s preset lighting effects within its app, or even flex your own creative muscles and make your own personalized light shows. And if you’re throwing a party, Govee even offers a music-syncing mode in its app that lets the lights change color in time with your favorite songs.

The lights are IP65-rated for weather resistance, so you can hang them along your staircase, wrap them around your Christmas tree, or use them to decorate your porch outside. They also support Matter, so you can control them with your voice via Amazon’s Alexa, Google Assistant, and other major smart home platforms.

Almost all of Amazon’s new Echo gear is available now

28 October 2026 at 13:29

Amazon used to blast out dozens of products onstage at annual hardware events. If this October is any indication, the company has wisely changed its strategy to put more focus on each new product with its own launch. The latest round of launches focuses on Echo products, including speakers, smart displays, as well as a smart photo frame.

All products, save for the new Echo Show 16 (which might be the most interesting of the bunch), are available to buy today. This includes the Echo Dot, the Echo Studio with Home Camera, the Echo Time, and the Alexa Photo Frame. The Show 16 isn't launching until December 16th, though you can preorder it now …

Apple’s latest AirTag is the cheapest it’s ever been

27 October 2026 at 16:34
Second-generation AirTag

Thanksgiving is less than a month away, so now’s a good time to start preparing before the rush. Fortunately, Apple’s latest AirTag can help you keep tabs on your luggage and other belongings amid the holiday chaos, and it’s currently down to an all-time low of $23 ($6 off) at Amazon and Walmart.

Apple AirTag (second-gen)

Where to Buy:

If you own an iPhone, the second-gen AirTag is the best Bluetooth tracker you can buy. That’s largely due to Apple’s ultra-wideband chip, which enables Precision Finding and guides you to an object’s exact location with on-screen arrows, vibrations, and sounds. The second-gen model can also help you find things faster than the prior generation, as it lets you pick up those directional cues from up to 50 percent farther (it also offers greater Bluetooth range). In our tests, that meant faster connections and better performance across multiple floors, which could come in handy if you’ve left something behind in a hotel. You can even follow directions on an Apple Watch Series 9 or later, making it possible to track down your stuff without pulling out your phone.

The latest AirTag offers a few other perks for travelers, too. You can share it with up to five other people, which is handy if you’re traveling with family members. If your suitcase goes missing, you can also temporarily share its location with participating airlines, including both United and Delta. That means if your suitcase gets lost, airline staff can see its reported location, which can make it easier to track down and return to you. More conveniently, it runs on a replaceable CR2032 battery designed to last more than a year, so you won’t have to worry about charging it before every trip.

Three more Verge-approved deals

  • Cricut’s Joy 2 Plus Ultimate Bundle is on sale for $159 ($50 off) at Amazon, which is the second-best price we’ve seen for this particular bundle. The small cutting machine is probably the funnest gadget I’ve tested this year, one that makes it relatively easy for beginners to create personalized cards, stickers, labels, iron-on designs, and other projects. The bundle also includes a mini heat press, tools, and enough supplies to make up to 75 projects, so you can get started right out of the box. Read my hands-on impressions.
  • Ring’s latest Battery Doorbell 2K is available from Amazon, Target, and Ring for $44.99 ($55 off), which is just $5 shy of its all-time low. The wireless doorbell offers sharp 2K video with a 140-degree horizontal and vertical field of view, making it easier to see visitors and packages left at your door. It also features night vision to keep tabs on trick-or-treaters after dark, two-way audio to chat with visitors, and motion detection that alerts you when someone’s at your door.
  • You can now pick up N Edition of 8Bitdo’s Retro Mechanical Keyboard on Amazon for $50.99 ($49 off), which marks its best price to date. Designed to resemble Nintendo’s original NES controller, the tenkeyless mechanical board features hot-swappable switches and a pair of large “Super Buttons,” which you can program to launch apps, trigger keyboard shortcuts, and perform other tasks.

Samsung’s Switch 2-ready MicroSD Express card is on sale for less than $50

26 October 2026 at 22:56

Running out of space on your Nintendo Switch 2? Thankfully, Samsung’s P9 MicroSD Express card is discounted at multiple retailers, with the 256GB version going for $47.99 (Amazon, B&H Photo) and the 512GB version $99 (Amazon, B&H Photo). The smaller card typically sells for around $80, and the larger option usually sells between $150 and $200, though both are higher than their original launch prices, likely because of the ongoing memory shortage.

Samsung P9 microSD Express Card

The P9 is great if you need more storage for your Nintendo Switch 2. The microSD Express card offers sequential read speeds of up to 800MB/s, but only gadgets with a microSD Express card slot can take full advantage of the highest speeds. That includes certain cameras, tablets, and drones with a microSD USH-I slot.

Where to Buy:

First-party Switch 2 games generally run between 10 and 30 gigabytes each — the upcoming The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake is 27GB, for example — while third-party games can take up even more space (Cyberpunk 2077 is 60GB). Until recently, the Switch 2 was one of the few devices that could take advantage of the faster MicroSD Express standard, but this year’s Asus ROG Ally X20 also added support for MicroSD Express. While expensive, the latter is an impressive gaming handheld that runs Windows 11, giving it a versatility that’s hard to find elsewhere.

Nothing’s eye-catching Ear 3A earbuds are matching their best price to date

If you want a decent pair of noise-canceling earbuds without spending a fortune, Nothing’s Ear 3A are worth considering. The wireless earbuds offer a lot of features for the price, and they’re an even better value now that all four colors are on sale at Amazon, Walmart, and Best Buy for $79 ($20 off), matching their all-time low price.

The Ear 3A deliver great performance for the price, with extensive EQ options that let you fine-tune the sound to your liking. My colleague John Higgins found the default sound a little too bass-heavy, but appreciated how easy it was to adjust — which is great, since that level of customization is unusual for earbuds at this price. While they won’t completely drown out chatter of your local coffee shop, the ANC does a good job of quieting low drones, including air conditioners and airplane cabin noise. We did encounter some bugs in testing, however, including abrupt changes in noise cancellation levels when using adaptive ANC, as well as occasional issues with voice calls in noisy environments.

Still, they’re relatively minor drawbacks given what you get for the price. The Ear 3A also come in some fun colors — including a striking pink shade — and each pair includes extra-small ear tips for a more comfortable fit. They even offer a shortcut to access ChatGPT and include 32MB of built-in storage, letting you record up to two hours of a phone call and transfer the recording through the companion app.

Remarkable’s refurbished Paper Pro Move bundle is over $100 off

26 October 2026 at 15:41
An image showing the Remarkable Paper Pro Move portable E Ink drawing tablet on a custom background showing shopping-related symbols.

The Remarkable Paper Pro Move is essentially a digital notepad, with a skinny 7.3-inch E Ink screen that’s easy to hold one-handed to jot down notes or ideas. At $449 new, it’s not exactly cheap, but buying refurbished is a way to save, as always. Remarkable itself offers the refurbished Paper Pro Move for that same price with a polymer Book Folio case and a Marker Plus that has a built-in eraser tool. It comes with a one-year warranty. If you’re alright with trading the one-year warranty for a 90-day one, Woot has the same bundle for about just $342.

That offer is available exclusively to new Woot customers, who can enter the code REMARKABLE at checkout to save 10 percent on their order through November 2nd. The deal is good for returning shoppers, too, costing $379.99.

Remarkable Paper Pro Move

Where to Buy:

The Paper Pro Move makes it easy to convert your handwritten notes to text, and store files on third-party cloud services. You can also view your notes in Remarkable’s apps and screen share from your E Ink device. However, Remarkable’s Connect subscription (a free 50-day trial for new users/devices) and $3.99 per month thereafter offers access to a larger suite of features. With it, you can search your handwritten notes, import docs and articles to the device to mark notes on, get AI-powered summaries of your handwritten text (viewable in a browser), and more.

Other great deals to consider

  • Best Buy is trying to reach more gamers, so it’s dangling a $5 gift card offer for those who sign up for a Best Buy Gamers profile. Beyond being a hub for gaming-centric info, trailers, and polls, it’s a portal for highlighting deals and its upcoming drops, like the Thursday, November 5th midnight in-store launch of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (and the limited edition Nintendo Switch 2 hardware). It seems possible that Best Buy might give Gamers account holders first (or at least, early) dibs on hard-to-get tech.
  • Fujifilm’s X Half digital camera has sunk to its lowest price yet at Amazon, Best Buy, Adorama, and B&H Photo, selling for $449 (previously floating between $600 and $649.95). It’s a much more reasonable price than the $850 it sold for when former Verge supervising producer Vjeran Pavic took it for a spin at launch in May 2025. We last covered this camera a year later when it was discounted to $549.99. The feature-light camera looks like a pricey mirrorless model, but is instead a glorified digital camera that can shoot 18-megapixel shots that evoke the analog era through various modes and filters. Read our hands-on.
  • I’m still getting used to Belkin being one of the most prolific accessory makers for the Nintendo Switch 2. One of its latest, the Charging Grip, is discounted by $10 at Amazon in the black color. Originally $99.99 for the handheld case that adds some non-slip ergonomics via Joy-Con grips, it’s down to $89.99. Most of the price comes from the 10,000mAh 30W USB-C battery that’s included, which magnetically attaches to the Grip on the back of your console. The Grip allows for the Switch 2’s kickstand to extend, and a big advantage here compared to most third-party console covers is that the case is thin enough to allow for docking with Nintendo’s first-party dock.
