SFRA Book Award
- Black Apocalypse: Afrofuturism at the End of the World, Tavia Nyongβo (University of California Press)
Student Paper Award
- Β ββI Must Put Things in My Mouth:β Loving Trans Children in Octavia Butlerβs Adulthood Ritesβ, Franklin Mitchell (University of Colorado Boulder)
The awards, selected by a committee of SFRA members, are given in recognition of βmembers of the SF community who exhibit outstanding scholarship, pioneering viewpoints in the science fiction discourse, and lifetime contributions to SF research.β Winners were announced at the SFRA conference banquet in East Lansing, Michigan.
