What a Cookout Pro Actually Serves on the Fourth of July

Welcome to Sunday Reset, where we share how we’re unwinding and what we have planned for the week ahead. This time, New Jersey–based cook and creator Peter Beckwermert (@petey_cooks) makes the case for a taco-filled Fourth of July.

Tradition says the Fourth of July is to be spent grilling and enjoying one (or five) adult beverages near a large body of water. For the most part, my celebration is no different, except for what comes off the grill. Please don’t take this as slander against the classic burgers-and-dogs menu (I assure you, I love both). But can we agree that, as far as Fourth of July fare goes, that duo has been done? If you ask me, three flavor-packed tacos is the new “burger and a dog.”

Why Grilled Fish Deserves the Spotlight This Summer

Welcome to Sunday Reset, where we share how we’re unwinding and what we’re cooking in the week ahead. This time, Justin is walking us through his best tips for perfectly grilled fish (no sticking, no overcooking).

Memorial Day is traditionally the start of the summer, but to me, grilling season doesn't start in earnest until Father's Day. 7 Grilled Recipes We're Loving: How to Cook Outside All Summer Long

Welcome to Sunday Reset, where we share how we’re unwinding and what we have planned for the week ahead. This time, Noah’s been bit by the barbecue bug—and shares some inspo both for summer weekend projects and quick grilled dinners alike.

Good morning! All I can seem to think about as the weather warms up and the endless rain starts to clear here in New York is busting out the grill. It’s one of my primary summer joys, and though I’m not exactly a pitmaster like our friends at KG BBQ, I do have a small offset smoker/grill that I’ve been keeping in a friend’s backyard. It runs on charcoal or wood ,and I’ll be using it to try my hand at all manner of smoked meats this summer, from brisket to baby backs.

The Shrimp Salad Potato I’m Making All Summer Long

Welcome to Sunday Reset, where we share how we’re unwinding and what we have planned for the week ahead. This time, guest Nea tells us her summer cooking plans and how she's gearing up for summer in Sweden.

Good morning! I can’t believe it’s already June 1st! I just got back from visiting my parents in Burlington, Vermont, where we blew lots of glass at their studio, AO Glass, grilled, and ate maple creemees. Now back in Brooklyn, I’m deep into planning summer recipes and gearing up to head to Sweden for a few weeks.

How We’re Resetting This Memorial Day Weekend

Good morning! Memorial Day weekend is officially here, which always feels like a natural reset—whether you’re counting down the last days of school (with excitement, stress, or both) or just waiting for consistently warm weather.

Last week, Paul answered all your BBQ questions and made a strong case for ribs, which I second. There’s still time to make Emma Laperruque’s baby backs with dry rub, or if you’re cooking for a smaller crowd, her shrimp pasta is a no-brainer. For dessert, I’ve got my eye on EmilyC’s berries with rosé, this olive oil chocolate mousse, or a stunning raspberry pistachio pavlova.
