Logitech’s refurbished G Pro X2 Superstrike is 35 percent off

20 October 2026 at 22:00

Looking for a way to try the haptics-equipped G Pro X2 Superstrike wireless gaming mouse without spending full price? You probably aren’t alone. Logitech’s now-last-gen right-handed mouse is a great PC gaming companion that mimics the feel of mechanical switches with nothing but haptics. You can grab it refurbished through Logitech’s official eBay store for $131.74 (usually $179.99), and for even less with the code PROXPRODUCTS15 applied at checkout. It drops the price to just under $117.

Logitech G Pro X2 Superstrike

Where to Buy:

The G Pro X2 Superstrike came out earlier this year, and I went hands-on with it. Logitech’s companion software lets you customize the intensity of the haptics, from an extra punchy click to one that’s barely there. (You can also turn the click feel off completely, but that felt a bit strange.) The mouse also supports rapid trigger, and when used together with haptics, it lowers the click latency compared with other mice that have mechanical switches.

The company followed up recently with the X3 Superstrike, though its differences may not matter much to those who aren’t competitive gamers. The X3 features a more responsive sensor, better battery life, and improved weight distribution. There are some other somewhat small changes to the specs. That said, none of these improvements makes the X2 feel obsolete, and Logitech is continuing to support and sell the mouse. So, if you want to give it a try, now’s your chance to save quite a bit of money on the purchase.

Sony’s best noise-canceling earbuds are nearly $100 off today only

For a very limited time, Sony’s latest high-end noise-canceling earbuds are actually cheaper than their last-gen counterpart, the WF-1000XM5. B&H Photo is selling Sony’s latest WF-1000XM6 in black for an all-time low of $238 ($92 off) at checkout. Other retailers aren’t currently offering a discount on the XM6.

Sony WF-1000XM6 earbuds

The Sony WF-1000XM6 earbuds in both black and grey.

Where to Buy:

The XM6 are a solid upgrade over their predecessor and easily amongst the best noise-canceling wireless earbuds on the market. In his review, John Higgins noted that they do a better job of tuning out other people’s conversations than any other earbuds he’s tested. Sony has also improved the bone-conduction sensor and added AI-powered microphones that help keep your voice clear during calls, even in noisy environments.

The XM6 earbuds also deliver clean, balanced sound with impressive bass, raising the bar of what we expect with Sony’s WF-1000XM series. If you prefer to customize your listening experience, Sony’s Sound Connect app offers plenty of customization options, including the ability to adjust how much surrounding noise you hear without removing the earbuds. You can also personalize the touch controls.

The XM6 earbuds support Sony’s LDAC codec, which delivers higher-quality audio from compatible Android devices, too. New in the latest set is a listening mode that makes music sound more like background audio playing in a cafe, allowing you to listen to your favorite music without getting too distracted from whatever you’re doing.

Apple’s last-gen Mac Mini with the M4 is $150 off

19 October 2026 at 16:41

Best Buy has a great deal for the rest of the day on the M4 Mac Mini base model that has 16GB RAM and a 256GB SSD. Normally, it doesn’t make a ton of sense to buy the M4 model for its usual $799 price given that the newer, faster M6 version has been available from Amazon for $779.99 (originally $899) for the past couple of weeks. However, at $649 it’s a much more tempting price.

The M4 Mac Mini launched at $599 in 2024, and was an incredible value. Given that this sale price makes it just $50 more than the original price instead of $200, it’s a good time to buy if you want to spend as little as possible on a modern Mac desktop.

Where to Buy:

Aside from some impressive generational leaps in processing power, you aren’t missing out on a ton by skipping the M6 model and opting for the M4. Their design and ports are nearly identical, and with either model you’ll need to supply your own keyboard, mouse, display, webcam, etc. If you’re on the fence and can’t decide between the M4 and M6 models, I suggest checking out my colleague Antonio’s review of the M6 Mac Mini. The newer model might be well worth the extra $130 cost.

  • Today brought a big discount to LG’s C6 OLEDs lineup, particularly its bigger models. The 55-inch model is $999.99 at Amazon, Best Buy, and Costco (previously $1,399.99), costing a little less than the 42- and 48-inch configurations. The price hasn’t gone below $1,299.99 before, so it’s a good time to consider an upgrade. The 65-inch model is cheaper than before, too. Previously $1,699.99, but normally selling for $1,500 or so, you can grab the larger version for $1,399.99 at Amazon, Best Buy, and Costco. If you have a big room and budget, the 77-inch LG C6H that, like the 48-inch version, has a tandem OLED panel that offers more brightness and better colors, is $1,999.99, down from $2,499.99.
  • For $499.99, you can grab a 14-inch HP OmniBook 3 during Best Buy’s deal of the day that has a 2K OLED screen, a capable Snapdragon X ARM processor, 16GB of RAM, and a 256GB SSD. This seems like a fantastic option for anyone on a budget. Its Snapdragon processor can run most x86 Windows 11 apps without much issue, and it’s just a rarity to get these kinds of specs — from the OLED screen to the RAM amount — at $500. My colleague Antonio reviewed the 16-inch version that cuts some corners in the screen department compared to this 14-inch model.
  • It’s time to get spooky if you haven’t already planned your run of games for Halloween. The spectacular Silent Hill 2 remake is down to $21.34 on Steam for PC via Fanatical, a third-party site I’ve shopped from numerous times. If you’re alright with spending more, Resident Evil Requiem is one of Capcom’s several great 2026 games, and it’s $20 off at Amazon on all platforms, costing $49.99.

Lenovo’s fast, comfy SteamOS handheld is hundreds off

18 October 2026 at 17:00

The Legion Go S with SteamOS is a pretty solid alternative to the $789 Steam Deck OLED. It runs identical software, but ships in a design with two-stage triggers, a bigger eight-inch IPS screen (1080p and up to 120Hz versus 800p and 90Hz in the Deck OLED), and it’s got double the RAM and storage (32GB and 1TB, respectively), not to mention a slightly faster processor in the Ryzen Z1 Extreme.

At $999.99, its current discounted price at Best Buy, it’s worth considering if you’re deciding on a handheld. The Legion Go S is not as powerful as the $1,299.99 Asus ROG Xbox Ally X20 that just launched, which has the Z2 Extreme and a OLED screen, but it’s no slouch, either.

Lenovo Legion Go S with SteamOS (Z1 Extreme)

Where to Buy:

This model launched with Windows 11 and the Ryzen Z2 Go. Despite being a newer chip, it’s less powerful than the Z1 Extreme in the discounted model. SteamOS and the faster internals within this configuration will provide a better experience. Check out my colleague Sean Hollister’s review of multiple configs of the Go S, and see how it stacks up in his benchmarks.

Pikmin 4 is $20 off ahead of its $10 Nintendo Switch 2 update

If you’re wondering what video game to play this weekend, my colleague Sheena Vasani spotted a discounted Nintendo Switch title with instant digital delivery. Walmart has the digital version of Pikmin 4 for Switch discounted to $39.88, just over $20 lower than its usual price. This version of the game follows the same puzzle formula as previous titles in the series, but adds in a dog companion for an extra layer of complexity and action, and dives deeper into the dark undertones previous games hinted at.

Where to Buy:

Nintendo recently announced a Switch 2 version of Pikmin 4 will launch on November 12th, 2026. That version features polished visuals, adds in voice commands for your dog companion, plus a new mode called Dandori Academy that adds extra challenges over time. You’ll be able to upgrade to that version for just $10, saving you $20 total over buying the $69.99 Switch 2 Edition outright.

The new Apple TV 4K just got its first (very small) discount

16 October 2026 at 18:02
Apple TV 4K
The new Apple TV 4K will be available in November. | Image: The Verge

Earlier this week, Apple announced its new Apple TV 4K, which costs nearly twice as much as the 2022 model did at launch. Amazon is now offering the first discount on the forthcoming streaming box (coming out on November 13th), just days after discounting Apple’s new smart display for the first time. Right now, you can preorder the latest Apple TV 4K ahead of its November 13th release date for $289.99 ($9 off) at Amazon. Yes, it’s a tiny discount, but every little bit helps given the higher price tag.

Apple TV 4K (2026)

Where to Buy:

Powered by the new A19 chip, Apple’s latest streaming device now features support for Siri AI out of the box, which is coming to older Apple TV 4K models via a software update. Unlike its predecessors, though, the new model features far-field microphones so you can quickly make hands-free requests. You can, for example, ask for recommendations, like nature documentaries available on Apple TV, or ask questions about what you’re watching. Siri AI can also understand personal context, too, so long as you have an iPhone or iPad connected to your account that supports Apple Intelligence.

Apple has made a few other welcome upgrades, though — as my colleague John Higgins points out — not as many as some may have expected. While Apple skipped features we’d hope to see on a $300 streamer, like audio passthrough and support for 120fps output, it’s nice that the Siri Remote now supports Find My precision tracking, so you can make it ring when it goes missing or use the Find My app on your iPhone to pinpoint its location. The new Apple TV 4K also supports a more expansive surround-sound setup, allowing you to pair up to four compatible HomePod speakers instead of just two.

Three more Verge-approved deals:

  • If you’ve been meaning to pick up Pikmin 4, Walmart is selling a digital copy for $39.88 ($20 off), which is a great price considering most other retailers are still charging the full $59.99. It’s the original Switch version, but you can upgrade to the forthcoming Nintendo Switch 2 Edition when it arrives on November 12th by purchasing a separate $9.99 upgrade pack, which adds improved graphics and a new Dandori Academy mode. That brings your total to just $49.87, saving you about $20 compared to buying the $69.99 Switch 2 Edition outright. Read our review.
  • All eyes might be on the iPhone Duo — which is now available to preorder, despite shipments being delayed into 2027  — but if you have a non-foldable iPhone, Woot is currently discounting a wide range of Otterbox cases through October 31st. I’ve owned several of the brand’s cases for both my smartphones and tablets over the years, and I’ve been impressed by their durability. I currently use the OtterBox Symmetry Series Clear Case for my iPhone 16, which normally costs $49.99 but is now available in various colors for just $5.99 with a 90-day warranty. The sale also includes cases for other iPhones, as well as some Samsung and Google phones, so it’s worth browsing even if you’re not planning to upgrade your phone anytime soon.
  • Fanttik’s S1 Pro electric screwdriver is on sale for $45.99 ($44 off) at Amazon, which is $5 shy of its best price to date. It’s a handy cordless option for small tasks ranging from tightening screws to assembling desks, with 16 S2 hardened steel bits for tackling a variety of jobs. The USB-C rechargeable screwdriver also comes with a 220RPM motor and three torque settings, along with a LED light to help illuminate your workspace.

The iPhone Duo is now available to preorder at $1,999

Few phones have been more anticipated than a foldable iPhone, but it's finally here. The iPhone Duo was unveiled during Apple's "Surprise and shine" event alongside the iPhone 18 Pro and the Apple Watch Series 12 and Ultra 4 models.

Apple's first foldable has a 5.4-inch outer screen, and it unfolds to show off its 7.6-inch Super Retina XDR screen. Apple Pencil support is coming later this year. While it lacks Face ID for facial unlocking, there's a Touch ID sensor along its edge to identify your fingerprint. The device has an IP68 rating, with Ceramic Shield 2 on its back, with Ceramic Shield covering the front display. It has the same A20 …

Alienware’s latest 34-inch QD-OLED gaming monitor is $50 off

15 October 2026 at 19:30
Alienware’s 34-inch QD-OLED gaming monitor.

The Alienware AW3426DW is discounted to $742.22 at Amazon, just over $50 off its usual price of $799.99. It’s not quite the lowest price we’ve seen on this well-equipped gaming monitor, but still a decent discount. The 34-inch screen just came out a couple months ago, and is equipped with Penta Tandem quantum dots for bolder colors than you’ll find on other QD-OLED panel. And of course, it provides the deep blacks and high contrast expected of the display tech.

Alienware 34-inch AW3426DW curved OLED gaming monitor

This ultrawide (21:9) QHD OLED gaming monitor has a 280Hz refresh rate, a fast response time, and a slick design. It’s tough to get more OLED for your money than with this model when it’s discounted.

Where to Buy:

Alienware supports both Nvidia G-Sync and FreeSync Premium Pro adaptive refresh rate tech, so PC gamers with modern GPUs can enjoy a smooth frame rate when their systems can’t output a frame rate that matches its native 280Hz refresh rate. The 1800R curve adds an immersive element to the setup, and it has two HDMI 2.1 ports, as well as DisplayPort, and USB-A and USB-C for charging and connecting peripherals.

Sony’s WH-1000XM6 headphones are $130 off today only

15 October 2026 at 19:10
Woman with long curly hair wearing a set of over-the-ear headphones.

If you missed out on Prime Day’s headphones deals, you’re in luck. Sony’s latest flagship headphones are selling for even less than they did during Amazon’s big fall sale. As part of B&H Photo’s Deals of the Day, you can currently pick up Sony’s WH-1000XM6 noise-canceling headphones in silver for just $328 at checkout ($130 off) for the rest of the day. That’s one of the best prices we’ve seen, and much cheaper than what you’ll typically pay at major retailers like Amazon and Best Buy, even during seasonal sales.

Sony WH-1000XM6

Where to Buy:

The WH-1000XM6 are Sony’s best over-ear headphones yet, thanks in part to a new chip, which Sony says delivers the most powerful active noise cancellation in the series. Unsurprisingly, they also deliver the best sound of any WH-1000XM-series headphones to date, with new drivers that produce clearer vocals and richer bass. They’re great for work and life outside the office, too, thanks to improved call quality and multipoint Bluetooth, which lets you stay connected to two devices at once.

If you travel or commute frequently, you might appreciate that Sony brought back the foldable design of the XM4, making the headphones easier to pack. Their wider headband also helps with comfort during long listening sessions, and the earcups can be easily removed for cleaning or to be replaced when needed. Battery life remains solid at up to 30 hours with ANC enabled, and as an added convenience, you can now charge them while listening — provided you use a 3.5mm audio cable alongside a USB-C charging cable.

Why Ukrainian strikes on data centers are a real problem for Russia — and beyond

15 October 2026 at 04:00

Ukraine’s strikes on data centers inside Russia aimed to disrupt military planning and communication services. There were also reports of another kind of disruption: to customers waiting for their dinner from food-delivery apps.

Kyiv’s drone strikes on three Yandex data centers in Sasovo, Kaluga and Vladimir saw delays and interruptions for thousands of businesses and households that rely on Yandex’s cloud infrastructure, including e-commerce, digital payment platforms and apps of food delivery and car services. Ukrainian drones on Wednesday targeted a major Sberbank data center in Russia’s Saratov region, though a senior company executive said it hadn’t affected operations.

After the strikes on Russian data centers, Kyiv noted that Moscow has already repeatedly targeted its digital infrastructure. “Ukrainians wanted to show Russians that two can play this game,” a senior official familiar with the operation told POLITICO, granted anonymity to discuss sensitive matters.

The attacks and counter-attacks point to a new frontline in war: the infrastructure powering the digital economy.

The attacks on the buildings that supply compute power are akin to striking a power plant supplying the electricity, heating and fuel that both militaries and civilians depend on. It may weaken an enemy’s war effort but can also bring everyday life to a standstill.

Experts say the cost of rebuilding in Russia will be particularly high as the centers require scarce materials that must be imported. “Obtaining a large amount of equipment to replace what was destroyed is not going to be easy,” said Oleg Shakirov, a cyber policy and international security researcher, noting that most hardware needs to be imported and that is complicated by high global demand and sanctions on Russia.

“To be honest, no one really knows what’s the actual damage. Since two data centers are still offline, we can assume that it’s significant,” said Shakirov.

Joseph Jarnecki, a senior research fellow at the Royal United Services Institute, warned that normalizing strikes to data centers could have a new set of dangerous consequences.

“These strikes likely breach International Humanitarian Law and it’s a big risk when global populations increasingly rely on digital services,” he told POLITICO.

When servers become targets

Data centers have entered the crosshairs of other recent armed conflicts. During the U.S.-Israeli conflict with Iran earlier this year, drone strikes hit three Amazon Web Services (AWS) facilities in the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain.

Since data centers can serve civilian and military purposes simultaneously, the legal status of targeting them is far from straightforward.

Kubo Mačák, an expert on international humanitarian law, said a data center must meet two conditions to qualify as a military objective under the Geneva Conventions: it must make an effective contribution to military operations and destroying it must offer a “definite military advantage.”

A delivery robot from Russian tech giant Yandex moves through Moscow. | Alexander Nemenov/AFP via Getty Images

“If you know that they are storing military intelligence or that they’re using the data center to power military artificial intelligence tools,” Mačák said, there could be grounds to consider it a military objective.

Following the most recent strikes of the Yandex data centers, users on social media platform X reported a sudden drop in automated bot activity, including from accounts associated with pro-Russian, pro-Trump and Germany’s far-right Alternative for Germany (AfD) narratives.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy seized on the reports to boast that the strikes had made social media less toxic, even as independent researchers and national research institutes found no evidence they specifically disrupted any Russian disinformation campaigns.

Mačák said that even if a data center is being used to “let’s say, run some trolls or these bot farms to interfere with elections abroad … that would not be sufficient.” In other words, hosting propaganda bots does not, by itself, make a data center a lawful military target.

The dual-use quandary has often focused on the targeting of energy infrastructure, which has been frequent in the Russia-Ukraine war. On Saturday, U.S. President Donald Trump urged Ukraine to stop striking Russian oil refineries, blaming the attacks for rising fuel prices. He has since called for both sides to halt attacks on energy infrastructure, although the existence of any ceasefire agreement remains disputed.

As data centers become increasingly central to national economies, they will become more consequential targets. A senior NATO official granted anonymity to discuss the matter told POLITICO that data centers are already considered potential targets and that the alliance is factoring their vulnerability into its planning.

NATO allies recognize that their data centers could come under attack in a conflict, the official said: “We would get it in a fight.”

Veronika Melkozerova in Kyiv contributed to this report.

Save up to 20 percent on gift cards for REI, Barnes & Noble, and more

14 October 2026 at 20:20

While we cover a lot of deals on specific products, it’s rare that we find worthwhile savings on gift cards that let you save on essentially anything the store sells. However, until October 19th, you can save up to twenty percent on gift cards when you buy them through the Google Play store. There are a variety of discounts and retailers available, including 20 percent off $50 at Barnes and Noble, 20 percent off $100 at REI, and 10 percent off $100 at GameStop.

You don’t need an Android phone or tablet to save, but you’ll need to sign up for a Google Play account if you don’t have one already. In addition to the gift cards, Google is offering discounts on subscriptions like Calm and DuoLingo, as well as bonuses on in-app purchases in games like Pokémon Go and PUBG Mobile.

Apple’s new HomeView smart display is $10 cheaper at Amazon

It’s like a big Apple Watch for the home. | Image: Apple

Apple only just announced on Tuesday that its first smart display, the HomeView, will arrive on November 13th, but you can already save a couple bucks on it. Right now, you can buy the display for $289.99 ($10 off) in gray and the creamy white “starlight” colorway at Amazon. Sure, it’s a small discount, but deals on new Apple devices ahead of launch are rare.

Expect a full review of the HomeView in November, but my colleague Jennifer Pattison Tuohy spent some brief time with it and likened it to an “iPhone for your home” that looks a bit like an oversized Apple Watch. It features a gorgeous seven-inch square touchscreen that can recognize up to six household members and automatically switch between personalized experiences, displaying information relevant to whoever is using it.

As you might already know, the HomeView also doubles as a smart home hub, with support for Matter and Thread. You can use it to control compatible smart home devices, view live feeds and recorded footage from HomeKit Secure Video cameras, and more. It also features a 12-megapixel FaceTime camera for video calls, and doubles as an entertainment device, letting you play music, display photos, and more.

Apple’s AI-powered Siri assistant is another big part of the experience, allowing you to ask questions and get information using personal context from your messages, calendar, and emails. That means you can ask it to find your lost keys, play a song someone texted you, pull up a recipe with step-by-step instructions and built-in timers, or help you keep track of your schedule without having to reach for your phone.

$15 gets you Psychonauts 2, the latest Like a Dragon game, and more

14 October 2026 at 16:45
Psychonauts 2

There are several deals happening right now on video games and gaming-related tech that are worth sharing. To start, this month’s Humble Choice drop of Steam PC games is really good. The $14.99 per month service is offering subscribers Like A Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii, Price of Persia: The Lost Crown, Psychonauts 2, Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor, and more. You get to keep the games forever, even if you pay just for this month. I’ve tossed around getting each of these games on Steam in the past, and it’s great to get them all here for such a low price.

I’m not going to convince you to hang onto the membership any longer than you plan to, though while you have it, make sure to use it to save on digital games you were considering buying. Nintendo Switch 2 games, for example, are discounted, making Humble the place to get the cheapest prices. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is $53.99 for members, and most other full-price games are about $6 off the retail price.

Other great Verge-approved deals

One of the best deals we’ve seen today bundles together a great pair of headphones with a solid album. When you add the Nothing Headphone A in black or white and the CD version of the Charli XCX album Music, Fashion, Film to your Amazon cart, you’ll save 33 percent on your order, bringing the total down to $97.52. That’s lower than the best price we’ve seen for the headphones on their own, which retail for $199, and you get a free album to boot. The other colors also qualify for the discount, but have a higher starting price, so the discounted price will be higher as well.

Nothing Headphone A

Nothing’s second over-ear headphones may not offer everything found on the pricier Nothing Headphone 1, but you do get physical controls, good sound, and more than five days of battery life per charge. Their design is also a bit more discreet, for better or worse. Read our review.

Where to Buy:

We reviewed the Nothing Headphone A when they launched earlier in 2026, and praised them for their physical controls, IP52 dust and water resistance rating, and excellent battery life. They have a more subtle design than other Nothing products, opting for an opaque housing instead of the translucent shells on other Nothing headphones.

The Xteink X4 Pro is a great, tiny e-reader, and it’s cheaper than ever

If you’re looking for an e-reader that can easily fit in your pocket (or snap onto your magnet-equipped phone), the tiny Xteink X4 Pro might be worth a look. It features a 4.26-inch, 800 x 480 E Ink display, making it significantly smaller and thinner than Amazon’s smallest six-inch Kindle. It’s also quite a bit cheaper. Right now, you can pick it up for $84.15 ($25 off) at Amazon, which is its best price to date.

Xteink X4 Pro

Where to Buy:

The X4 Pro brings several welcome upgrades over its predecessors, including a touchscreen that gives readers another way to interact with it. It still has physical page-turning buttons, though. There’s also a new touch-sensitive button below the display for quickly returning to the home screen, along with a built-in light with adjustable brightness and color temperature, so you can read in the dark. It ships with the excellent CrossPoint Reader software, which makes navigating your library and reading books a much better experience than on previous Xteink models we’ve tested, though it’s still not quite as polished as Amazon’s software.

Understandably, not everyone is a fan of Xteink’s decision to swap the X4 Pro’s USB-C port for a proprietary charging connector. If you can look past that, the X4 Pro is a great, little e-reader that features magnets that let you attach it to compatible smartphones, just like previous models. The magnetic connection is stronger this time around, though we still wish it were a little more secure. All the same, my colleague Andrew Liszewski still considers the X4 Pro the best tiny e-reader you can buy, calling it a device he “won’t leave the house without.”
