Fortnite Pirate Token Drop Rate Doubles During the Second Treasure Hour
Screenshot: Epic Games
Epic Games has confirmed that the Fortnite Pirate Shop Token is easier to find and has boosted drop rates during Treasure Hours. If you missed the first session earlier today on November 7, you’re still in luck!
Tonight’s second Treasure Hour doubles the normal Pirate Token drop rate, giving you a 1 in 68,750 chance per chest. The first round only had a 1.5× boost, which put the odds at about 1 in 91,667 per chest.
The Weekly Gold Outfit is also a little easier to find tonight. Its drop rate gets a 10× boost, up from 7.5× in the first round. Even with the bigger boost, it’s still rarer than the Pirate Token at 1 in 156,250 per chest.

If you’re jumping in for the rest of the event, you’ll start each match with A$AP Rocky’s Shock Rocket and a Self-Revive Device. Fortune Sprites will also appear more often, so there’s still something to hunt for if the Pirate Token keeps eluding you.
Epic Games has finally revealed the Fortnite Pirate Token drop rate, and it’s even rarer than many players thought. The Pirate Shop Token has a 1 in 137,500 chance of dropping per chest in a normal match. Those odds improve during Saturday’s Treasure Hours. Here’s when to jump in for your best chance of unlocking pirate shop access in the battle royale.

If you’re still hunting for the Fortnite Pirate Token, I’d save some time on Saturdays for Treasure Hours. You’ll still need to get incredibly lucky, even with the boosted drop rate. Then again, 14 days of free Item Shop cosmetics is a pretty good reason to open one more chest.
The Fortnite Pirate Shop Token is so rare that a rumor has spread online that it’s been removed from the game. Here is what we know about the rare Fortnite Treasure Hunters reward, its drop rates, and how to get Pirate Shop access.
Did Fortnite Remove the Pirate Token?
Screenshot: Epic Games
No, Epic Games has not removed the Pirate Token from Fortnite. It just has an extremely low drop rate. Players continue to report finding the reward every day, and the official Fortnite Status account recently confirmed that every account has an equal opportunity to find Pirate Shop access.
The rumor of the Pirate Token being removed spread online after players spent the opening week of Fortnite Treasure Hunters searching for the rare reward and coming up empty-handed. This has also led to speculation about whether certain accounts have a better chance of finding it due to outside factors.
Screenshot: Epic Games, Snowslept
That said, the Fortnite Pirate token literally gives you every item in Item shop for free for 14 days straight after redeeming. Not only that, you get a second token to use in 2027. This puts the Fortnite Pirate Shop’svalue at around 1.2 Million V-Bucks in total, depending on when the player uses both of them.
According to dataminers, that is roughly $8.7k dollars in value. When you put that into perspective, it makes sense why most players are not easily finding it.
Fortnite Pirate Shop Token chances Explained
Screenshot: Epic Games
Epic Games has not publicly confirmed the Fortnite Pirate Shop Token chances or drop rates. Estimates circulating online have put it at around 0.1%, but that figure is unverified and should not be treated as the actual odds.
However, Epic Games recently responded to speculation about the rare reward and clarified one key detail: every player has an equal opportunity to find Pirate Shop access. “This is just like any of the chests in Battle Royale, so every player has an equal opportunity to find Pirate Shop Access,” the official Fortnite Status account explained.
Hey @Pirat_Nation – Buying an account or using fake tools is a scam. This is just like any of the chests in Battle Royale, so every player has an equal opportunity to find Pirate Shop Access.
That statement does not reveal the exact drop rate or fully explain how the reward is calculated. So while players have plenty of theories about the Fortnite token, there is no confirmed percentage you can use to work out how many chests you need to open.
Basically, if you aren’t finding the Pirate Token, that alone doesn’t mean it has been removed. It’s a random reward, and opening lots of chests still doesn’t guarantee you’ll get it.
How to Get the Pirate Shop Token in Fortnite
Screenshot: Epic Games, X
The way to get the Pirate Shop Token in Fortnite is to jump into a Battle Royale match and open chests. That’s really all there is to it. However, there are a few ways to make your search more efficient:
Play with a squad. If one teammate finds Pirate Shop access, the rest of the squad also receives it. Having more teammates searching means your group can cover more chests.
Use chest-finding Sprite abilities. These can help you locate loot and spend less time searching empty buildings.
Land somewhere with plenty of chests. Lantern Landing and The Chest are two locations to try for a chest-focused route.
Plan your next stop. Once you’ve searched an area, rotate to another nearby location instead of spending the match looking for one last chest.
These tips help you search more chests; they don’t establish a higher drop rate for each individual chest. Even with a good route, you’ll still need to get lucky.
Where to Search for the Fortnite Pirate Token
Screenshot: Epic Games, X
The best place to find the Fortnite Pirate Token is eitherLantern Landing or The Chest. Lantern Landing has plenty of buildings to search, making it a useful location for working through multiple chests in one area.
The Chest is the giant glowing treasure chest landmark, with buried treasure around the area that you can dig up with your pickaxe. You can also try working both locations into the same match if the storm circle and nearby players give you enough time.
Just be warned: popular chest-farming spots can get rather sweaty. A quieter landing spot where you actually survive long enough to loot can be more useful than fighting half the lobby over a handful of chests.
Epic Games has responded to Fortnite Pirate Shop Token drop rates speculation, confirming that every player has an equal opportunity to find the rare reward. The battle royale publisher also reportedly teased a boosted chance to unlock Pirate Shop access during a future Power Hour.
Fortnite Pirate Shop Token Power Hour Teased

It’s only been a few days since the launch of the Treasure Hunters mini season, and many players are already going mad searching for the Fortnite Pirate Shop Token. In case you missed it, the extremely rare chest reward lets you claim eligible Fortnite Item Shop cosmetics for free for 14 days after redeeming it.
Estimates circulating online have put the Fortnite Pirate Shop Token drop rate as low as 0.1%. As a result, Epic Games has now responded to player frustration over the rare reward and have reportedly hinted that we might get a specialPower Hour that gives players a boosted chance of finding the token.
Dataminer HypeX made the claim in a recent post on X: “FORTNITE PIRATE SHOP POWER HOURS ARE COMING LATER THIS SEASON. For those who don’t know what a power hour is.. It means they will most likely boost their spawn chance for an hour or 2.”

For those who don’t know what a power hour is.. It means they will most likely boost spawn chance for an hour or 2 pic.twitter.com/iSI9grKWUR
Before you get too excited, the boosted drop rate is HYPEX’s interpretation of what the event could offer. Epic Games has not officially announced a Fortnite Pirate Shop Power Hour schedule or confirmed how much the odds would increase.
Epic confirms Every Player Has an Equal Chance to Find Pirate Shop Access
Screenshot: Epic Games
Epic Games also addressed speculation that Fortnite Pirate Shop Token drop rates favor certain playersor certain conditions. Following the launch of the Treasure Hunters mini season, fans theorized that some accounts had a higher chance of finding the reward than others.
However, the official Fortnite Status account responded to these claims and warned players about scams. “Buying an account or using fake tools is a scam. This is just like any of the chests in Battle Royale, so every player has an equal opportunity to find Pirate Shop Access.”
The response followed an online post about accounts with Pirate Shop access being advertised for thousands of dollars. With such a valuable reward up for grabs, it’s easy to see why the token has attracted so much attention.
Hey @Pirat_Nation – Buying an account or using fake tools is a scam. This is just like any of the chests in Battle Royale, so every player has an equal opportunity to find Pirate Shop Access.
Basically, the Fortnite Pirate Shop Token is just extremely rare, and completely random. On the plus side, it appears that opening any chest in the game will give you the same chance of unlocking the Fortnite Pirate Shop access item.
For now, players will have to keep opening chests and hope they get lucky. If the reported Pirate Shop Power Hour does arrive, it could make the hunt a little less frustrating.
The Fortnite Pirate Shop Token is one of the most sought-after rewards in the Treasure Hunters mini season. However, getting the rare treasure requires quite a bit of luck. Here is what we know about the chances of finding the Pirate Shop in Fortnite, including a dataminer’s estimated drop rates.
What Are the Chances of Finding the Pirate Shop in Fortnite?
Screenshot: Epic Games
The chances of finding the Pirate Shop in Fortnite could be around 0.05%, or 1 in 2,000 Chests, according to an estimate shared by dataminer Blortzen. That calculation assumes you have neither of the two Supreme tier treasure rewards which include the Gold A$AP Rocky skin and the pirate shop token.
Epic Games has not officially confirmed the Fortnite Pirate Shop Token chances, or drop rate odds. However, dataminers have compiled estimated rates based on the amount of players who have won the rare treasure rewards so far.
Screenshot: Epic Games, h3xik
While the estimate gives us an idea of how rare Pirate Shop access might be, it should not be treated as a confirmed drop rate. According to their breakdown, opening a Chest first gives you a chance of triggering a treasure reward. The game then determines its reward tier. Pirate Shop access falls into the rarest category, Supreme, alongside golden skins.
Here is how the estimated Fortnite Pirate Token chance breaks down:
Fortnite Pirate Shop Drop Rates (Estimated)
Screenshot: Epic Games, Snowslept
Reward Roll
Estimated Chance
A Chest triggers a treasure reward
Around 1%, or 1 in 100 Chests
That treasure reward is Supreme tier
Around 5–10%, with Blortzen leaning toward 10%
A Chest awards any Supreme reward, using the 10% estimate
Around 0.1%, or 1 in 1,000 Chests
A Chest awards Pirate Shop access specifically, assuming two equally likely Supreme rewards
Around 0.05%, or 1 in 2,000 Chests
Fortnite Treasure Hunt Reward Tiers Explained
Screenshot: Epic Games
According to dataminers, Treasure Hunt rewards are separated into three tiers: Standard, Major, and Supreme. While Standard rewards include useful Gizmos, the higher tiers feature cosmetics and the rare Pirate Shop access reward.
Treasure Tier
Possible Rewards
Estimated Share of Treasure Rewards
Standard
Sprite Locator, Lucky Locator, Golden Firework, Extraction Accelerator, Portable Extractor
Around 60%
Major
Cosmetics, excluding skins
Around 20–25%
Supreme
Pirate Shop access and golden skins
Around 5–10%
These percentages applyafter a treasure reward has been triggered, rather than to every Chest you open. They are also rough estimates, and the figures do not add up to a complete, verified reward distribution.
Blortzen also suggests that rewards within the same tier have equal chances. Under that theory, Pirate Shop access would be just as likely as Solid Gold A$AP Rocky when both rewards are available to you.
Does Opening 2,000 Chests Guarantee a Fortnite Pirate Shop Token?
Screenshot: Epic Games
No, opening 2,000 Chests does not guarantee Fortnite Pirate Shop access. An estimated 1-in-2,000 chance describes the odds for each Chest under those assumptions. It does not mean the reward automatically drops once you reach that number.
You could get lucky much earlier, or open thousands of Chests without finding the token. Blortzen’s breakdown does not establish a guaranteed reward threshold. For the steps involved in earning and redeeming access, check out our Fortnite Pirate Shop Token guide.
For now, the exact Fortnite Pirate Shop Token drop rate remains unknown. The community estimates suggest an extremely rare reward, but we will need official figures from Epic Games to know the actual odds.

Of course, the biggest prize is easily the Fortnite Pirate Shop Access. The chance to claim eligible Item Shop cosmetics for free makes it a pretty massive reward, although finding it will take some serious luck.
That said, while you hunt for the golden ticket (er, I mean token), you also have a chance to pick up the Solid Gold skins and other rewards listed above. Just don’t expect every chest to include treasure, as the drop rates are rare.
The new Fortnite Pirate Shop Token lets lucky players claim all Item Shop cosmetics for free. Better yet, the reward includes two separate 14-day periods to grab free items. Here is how to find a Pirate Shop Token in Fortnite and how Pirate Shop access works.
Fortnite Pirate Shop Token Explained
Screenshot: Epic Games
In Fortnite Treasure Hunters, the Pirate Shop Token is a extremely rare reward you can get by opening Chests in Battle Royale that gives you the entire item shop for free. If you are doing a double take at that sentence, you are not reading it wrong. In fact, the new feature is even crazier than it sounds.
Finding a Fortnite Pirate Shop Token gives you the shop free for 14-days upon activation in 2026 and another 14-days in 2027. That means four weeks total where you can log in, check the Item Shop, and claim every item in it for free.
Depending on what appears in the shop during those periods, lucky players could walk away with thousands of dollars worth of cosmetics without spending a single cent.
Where to Find a Fortnite Pirate Shop Token
Screenshot: Epic Games, Snowslept
You can get a Fortnite Pirate Shop Token by opening Chests in Battle Royale during the Treasure Hunters mini season. However, receiving Pirate Shop access comes down to luck, as it has an extremely slim chance of appearing.
Here is how to get it:
Play Battle Royale mode: Jump into a match during Fortnite Treasure Hunters.
Open Chests: Opening a Chest can trigger a free reward for your squad. Most rewards will be Gizmos, but cosmetics and Pirate Shop access are also possible.
Get lucky with Pirate Shop access: If your squad finds a Fortnite Pirate Shop Token, every player in your party also receives the rare item.
Screenshot: Epic Games, h3xik
So, if you are playing with friends, only one of you needs to open the winning Chest for the whole squad to benefit.
How to Activate the Fortnite Pirate Shop Token
Screenshot: Epic Games, Snowslept
Once you have earned Pirate Shop access, you can activate it through the Item Shop. Here is what to do:
Return to the Fortnite lobby and open the Item Shop.
Select “Plunder the Item Shop” to view your Pirate Shop access.
Choose “Activate Now” when you are ready to begin your 14-day period.
Visit the shop during that period to claim eligible cosmetics for free.
Your two weeks begin when you activate access. That means you can wait for items you want before starting your 2026 period, rather than using it immediately.
Screenshot: Epic Games, Snowslept
However, the reward does not automatically give you everything that will release that year. You still need to check the Item Shop and claim items while they are available during your active period.
What Does Fortnite Pirate Shop Access Include?
Screenshot: Epic Games
Pirate Shop access lets you claim all Item Shop cosmetics for free during one chosen two-week period in 2026 and another in 2027. However, there are a few restrictions:
No gifting: You cannot use Pirate Shop access to send free items to other players.
Sidekick limits: You can only claim one copy of each eligible Sidekick.
No real-money Packs: Packs sold for cash are excluded.
For One Piece fans, this could be a pretty incredible reward. If you activate Pirate Shop access while the collaboration’s cosmetics are available, you can claim all One PieceFortnite skins for free without spending your V-Bucks. Just make sure the skins you want are actually in the shop before starting your two weeks!

How to Find Sprites in Fortnite Treasure Hunters

Fortnite Treasure Hunters has also introduced a new way to find Sprites. Instead of cheat codes, players will now need to track down Wanted Posters around the map.
However, finding a poster is only the first step. You will then have to follow a treasure map and dig up your reward. Here is how to find Fortnite Sprites in the Treasure Hunters mini season:
Find a Wanted Poster: Locate a Wanted Poster on a wall and tear it down.
Follow the Sprite Treasure Map: The poster turns into a Sprite Treasure Map, which leads you to a buried Sprite Chest.
Dig up the Sprite Chest: Head to the marked location and hit the buried chest with your pickaxe to uncover it.
Collect your Sprite: Open the chest to obtain the Sprite inside.
Fortnite Sprite Mastery Rewards Return

Even though Fortnite Treasure Hunters only lasts 35 days, Epic Games has brought back Sprite Mastery rewards. Players can master Sprites to earn Lucky Locators, Golden Fireworks, and other Gizmos, with a new page unlocking every week.
You can find the Sprite Mastery rewards under the Treasure tab in the Lobby. The Sprite Mastery Strongbox Back Bling also upgrades as you progress, giving you another reason to keep tracking down the collectibles.
Finally, mastering 40 Sprites unlocks the Navigator’s Nosedive Umbrella. If you want to collect all the rewards during the mini season, you will want to keep an eye out for Wanted Posters as you explore the island.

Players will be able to explore Arlong Park and Windmill Village, or climb into cannons to launch themselves across the island. However, the map will also change throughout the mini season as new captains arrive with their own crews and take over POIs.
The adventure begins with the Straw Hat Crew and A$AP Rocky Crew. Lil Uzi Vert, Cap’n Hatsune Miku, and Kasane Teto will then join the hunt in the following weeks.
