Based on the image, the emote will allow players to switch between the two styles during matches rather than selecting Super Sonic exclusively from the Locker. Epic Games has not revealed whether the transformation will be automatically included when unlocking the Sonic skin, or whether you will need to unlock it in a later tier in the battle pass.

LEGO Fortnite Odyssey Is Completely Changing How Building Works in Update 42.00

18 August 2026 at 16:51

Epic Games has announced its overhauling how building works in LEGO Fortnite Odyssey. Starting with update 42.00, Guided Build is being replaced by Quick Build. The new feature will allow players to complete massive creations in a fraction of the time. Creator Builds are also finally coming to the LEGO Fortnite mode.

LEGO Fortnite Odyssey Quick Build Explained

Epic Games has revealed that the new Quick Build feature will become the new default way to build in LEGO Fortnite Odyssey when update 42.00 launches. The new mechanic is designed to make building faster while cutting down on the amount of grinding needed to complete larger creations in the open-world sandbox mode.

Interestingly, Epic explains that the “more pieces you place with Quick Build, the faster the construction process” becomes. Players will eventually be able to place multiple pieces at once, allowing detailed structures that previously took hours to come together much more quickly.

For your convenience, here is a breakdown of how Quick Build works according to Epic:

  • Building gets faster over time: The construction speed increases as you continue building, eventually allowing you to place several pieces simultaneously.
  • Massive creations take less time: Large and detailed builds can be completed in a fraction of the time.
  • Traditional building is still available: Players can continue placing pieces brick by brick whenever they want. This method will still consume resources, but it has also been made faster and smoother.
  • Improved mobile controls: Epic Games has fine-tuned the touch controls and will now display the complete blueprint while you build.

Epic has confirmed that Quick Build is just the first update in a much larger overhaul to the LEGO Fortnite mode. “Every LEGO Fortnite Odyssey update throughout the remainder of 2026 will introduce a new building skill.” Each feature will build upon the last, eventually allowing players to become what Epic is calling a “Master Builder.”

A full trailer that will showcase how Quick Build works will be released on the official LEGO Fortnite YouTube channel on August 20.

New LEGO Fortnite Creator Builds Announced

LEGO Fortnite Odyssey Update Roadmap

Epic Games also announced that it’s finally adding character creations to LEGO Fortnite. The first two user-creations coming to the game were specifically made by members of the LEGO Fortnite Odyssey community.

Each user-created structure will also feature a unique Creator Crest that designates them as being made by a player. The first Creator Build is Haskyns’ Skyfang Marauder, which will become available on August 20. To unlock it, players just need to log in and claim the build in the mode’s menu.

A second creation, Spixylei’s Crown of the Abyss, will then arrive one week later on August 27. Here is the complete Creator Build schedule that has been announced so far:

New Fortnite Sprite Variants Leaked for Chapter 7 Season 4

17 August 2026 at 19:07

New Fortnite Sprite Variants are reportedly being added in Chapter 7 Season 4 following the August 20 update. According to dataminers, Fortnite Override will not only feature new Fortnite Sprites, but players will have even more variants to track down if they want to complete their collection. Sprites have also received a major redesign for the new season.

New Fortnite Sprite Variants Are Coming in Chapter 7 Season 4

Fortnite Override Sprite Variants

Epic Games recently revealed the 8 new Fortnite Sprites being added in Chapter 7 Season 4. However, up to this point, it wasn’t clear whether Sprite Variants would also be returning. Would we have to hunt down Gummy, Galaxy, and Gem variants in Fortnite Override again? If a new leak is to be believed, there will actually be even more variants to collect next season.

This latest update comes from FNBRIntel, who claims that Epic is adding new Fortnite Sprite variants in Chapter 7 Season 4. “Sprites will still have variants in Season 4, including new ones!” Interestingly, this seems to imply that all seven Sprite Variants from Chapter 7 Season 3 will also be returning.

Here is a list of the Fortnite Sprite Variants potentially returning in Chapter 7 Season 4:

  • Gold
  • Gummy
  • Galaxy
  • Gem
  • Holofoil
  • Cube
  • Quack
  • New Chapter 7 Season 4 Variants

Of course, the biggest mystery is what the new Chapter 7 Season 4 Sprite Variants will actually look like. With Fortnite Override launching on August 20, we fortunately shouldn’t have to wait much longer to find out.

Fortnite Sprites Have a New Design in Chapter 7 Season 4

The Fortnite Override trailer also appears to confirm that Sprites are getting a new redesign in Chapter 7 Season 4. In the new gameplay footage, the Sprites appear to be cubes that look like backpacks.

For example, there is a scene where Jonesy picks up the Fortnite Sonic Sprite. However, instead of the cute Sprite hovering over the player’s back, it now looks like a blocky backpack that is strapped to you.

The new Fortnite Sprite look might be in reference to Fortnite Override’s gaming legends theme. After all, the season has a Tetris crossover and features many pixel/cube-based gaming aesthetics.

At the time of writing, it’s unclear if all Fortnite Sprites in Chapter 7 Season 4 will have the new cube-look design. However, the 8 new Sprites revealed so far do appear to have this new look. With new Sprites, additional variants, and a complete redesign, it looks like collectors will have plenty to track down when Fortnite Override launches on August 20.

Epic Games released a new Fortnite Override Battle Pass trailer on August 17, finally confirming the Chapter 7 Season 4 skins lineup. The new footage gives players a closer look at all eight outfits featured in the upcoming pass, including the long-awaited Sonic skin and the return of Geno.

The reveal is particularly notable because images of the full Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4 Battle Pass had already leaked early online. However, the latest trailer now gives us official confirmation of the final lineup, the official names of the skins, and which unlock order they will appear in the Fortnite Override Battle Pass.

Here is the complete Fortnite Override Battle Pass lineup and their unlock levels:

  • Bastian (Level 1)
  • Grace Crowne (Level 10)
  • K1TTYW1NS (Level 10)
  • Wrixel (Level 35)
  • Mali (Level 35)
  • Phantom (Level 60)
  • Geno (Level 60)
  • Sonic (Level 85)

You can see the full Chapter 7 Season 4 Battle pass skins in their 3D models in the screenshot below:

Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4 Battle Pass has one gaming Collab

Unsurprisingly, Sonic is easily the biggest addition to the Fortnite Override Battle Pass. The SEGA mascot has been heavily featured throughout Epic Games’ Chapter 7 Season 4 marketing campaign so far, which has also revealed a Green Hill Zone location and a Tails Sidekick.

The other major character in the pass is Geno, who appears to play an important role in the new season’s storyline. The Fortnite Override trailer previously showed the character alongside Doctor Eggman as gaming worlds begin colliding with the Battle Royale island.

Interestingly, the Chapter 7 Season 4 Battle Pass only features a single gaming collab. Epic Games had previously revealed collaborations with Persona 5, Mega Man, Crash Bandicoot, Spyro the Dragon, Pac-Man, Kingdom Hearts, and several other gaming franchises. However, only Sonic will be included in the $8.99 pass.

Most of gaming legends characters this season appear to be separate Item Shop releases rather than Battle Pass rewards, meaning Fortnite Override could have a steady stream of Gaming Legends cosmetics throughout the season.

Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4 officially launches on August 20, 2026. With the Battle Pass lineup now confirmed, players only have a few more days to wait before Fortnite Override goes live and they can unlock them.

With Chapter 7 Season 3 ending soon, Holo Hours is one of the final opportunities to expand your Sprite collection before Fortnite Override launches on August 20. 16 August 2026 at 00:27

The Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4 Battle Pass has been leaked early after Epic Games sent teaser packages to streamers. The Fortnite Override battle pass appears to feature major gaming collabs such as Sonic and potentially Tetris, alongside several original skins.

The Fortnite Override season officially launches on August 20, 2026. However, days before its release, the Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4 Battle Pass was seemingly leaked early online by streamers who received gift baskets from Epic Games.

In a post on X, Littlest Snail Gaming uploaded a picture of a card that reportedly features six of the eight Fortnite Override Battle Pass skins. The biggest collab included in the pass is a Fortnite Sonic cosmetic. According to Loolo Leaks, there may also be a Tetris-inspired outfit that can be customized similarly to the Toona Fish skin from Chapter 2 Season 8.

The Fortnite Override Battle Pass skins lineup was further supported when an unfinished version of the season’s key art leaked online. By combining the two images, Fortnite dataminers have been able to compile a list of the Chapter 7 Season 4 Battle Pass skins, which we’ll break down below with images:

Most Fortnite Override Gaming Collabs wiill Not Be in the Battle Pass

Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4 Override Announced Release Date Details
Screenshot: Epic Games

Based on the images shared online, it appears that the Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4 Battle Pass may only feature two gaming collabs. It could even have fewer, as dataminers are currently unsure whether the rumored “Tetris” skin is actually connected to the classic puzzle game or is simply a new original cosmetic.

That means the vast majority of the Fortnite Override collabs revealed so far may not be included in the pass. For example, Epic Games has already confirmed a Persona 5 Joker skin is coming. However, the character doesn’t appear to be part of the Chapter 7 Season 4 Battle Pass based on these images.

Here are the Fortnite Override gaming collabs that will likely be sold separately in the Item Shop:

  • Persona 5 – Joker
  • Sonic the Hedgehog – Dr. Eggman and Shadow the Hedgehog
  • Mega Man
  • Crash Bandicoot
  • Pac-Man
  • Kingdom Hearts – Sora and the Keyblade

However, we can’t stress enough that Epic Games has not officially confirmed that all of the above collabs are receiving skins. It’s also possible that some of these cosmetics could be released through events or other promotions instead of being sold in the Item Shop.

Still, based on the official Fortnite gift baskets sent to streamers, it looks like most of the Gaming Legends crossovers will not be included in the Fortnite Override Battle Pass. We should learn the complete lineup when the official Chapter 7 Season 4 trailer is released tomorrow on on August 16.

All Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4 Collabs Leaked – Kingdom Hearts, Crash Bandicoot, and More

15 August 2026 at 17:43

The Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4 key art has reportedly been leaked online. Although many players initially believed the artwork was fake, prominent dataminer HYPEX now says it is likely legitimate. If accurate, the leak reveals every major Fortnite Override collab, including Kingdom Hearts, Crash Bandicoot, Spyro, Sonic, and more.

A leaked image of the Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4 key art recently surfaced on social media and reportedly reveals all upcoming Fortnite Override collabs. The artwork features numerous gaming legends, including Crash Bandicoot, Pac-Man, Spyro the Dragon and Megaman.

While the leaked key art initially had many players divided over whether it was real, prominent dataminer HYPEX says it is likely legitimate after an official Fortnite Sonic comic book also surfaced early online. The character’s design in the comics appears to match his appearance in the leaked Override image.

Here is the full list of Fortnite Override collabs coming to Chapter 7 Season 4 according to the leaked key art:

All Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4 Collabs

  • Sonic, Shadow, Eggman, and Tails
  • Kingdom Hearts (Sora and a Keyblade)
  • Mega Man
  • Pac-Man
  • Persona 5 (Joker)
  • Beyond Good & Evil (Jade)
  • Spyro the Dragon
  • Crash Bandicoot
  • 99 Nights in the Forest (Roblox)
  • Tetris
  • Screamer (Hiroshi Jackson)
  • Street Fighte
  • The Witcher
  • Tomb Raider
  • Halo
  • Honkai: Star Rail

Leaked Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4 Key Art Is Reportedly Unfinished

Fortnite Override Artwork
Screenshot: Epic Games

One reason some players initially believed the leaked Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4 key art was fake is that parts of the artwork appeared unfinished. For example, Pac-Man was missing his eyes. However, it now appears that the image is a WIP, or work-in-progress, version of the season’s key art. It is still unclear how an unfinished image like this could have leaked online in the first place.

Even so, the artwork being incomplete is a bit strange, given that Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4 launches in just five days on August 20. Epic Games is also releasing the first official Fortnite Override trailer on August 16, which will likely feature the completed season key art and confirm the upcoming gaming legends crossovers.

Regardless, HYPEX believes the leaked Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4 key art is likely real due to the newly discovered Sonic comicbook. Still, players should take the full collab lineup with a major grain of salt until Epic Games officially confirms which characters are coming to the new Fortnite Override season launching later this week.

All Fortnite Mythic Hours Rewards and Bonuses

Fortnite Mythic Hours Rewards

The Fortnite Power Hour today features boosted Mythic Sprite spawn rates and higher-quality loot across the entire Island. Every player will also begin each match with Seven Sliders and a Self-Revive Device, giving them an immediate traversal advantage.

Extracting a Sprite during Mythic Hours will also fully restore your health and grant the Slap effect. This should make Sprites even more useful during a match, especially when you need to quickly recover after a difficult fight.

Here is everything included in the Fortnite Power Hour today:

  • Everyone starts with Seven Sliders and a Self-Revive Device.
  • Mythic Sprites appear more often, with an extra boost for base Grim and Zero Point Sprites.
  • All locations on the Island offer higher-quality loot.
  • Extracting a Sprite fully heals you and grants the Slap effect.

Mythic Hours also officially kicks off the Fortnite Sprite Spree Week today. That means starting right now, Sprites no longer cut Sprite Dust to resummon. That means if you lose your Sprite in a match, there is no longer a penalty and you can get them back instantly. Campfires also give you double XP!

Which Sprites Are Featured During Fortnite Mythic Hours?

The featured Sprites during Fortnite Mythic Hours are the Grim Sprite and Zero Point Sprite. Although all Mythic Sprites will appear more frequently, these two variants will receive an additional spawn-rate boost during both sessions.

This makes today’s Power Hour one of the best opportunities to find the extremely rare Grim and Zero Point Sprites before Chapter 7 Season 3 ends. Players still missing either one from their collection will have four total hours to track them down across the two Mythic Hours sessions.

The boosted rates also apply to other Mythic Sprites, so you should encounter rare variants more frequently throughout the event.

How Long Does Fortnite Mythic Hours Last?

Each Fortnite Mythic Hour lasts two hours. Epic Games will host two sessions on August 15, giving players four total hours to take advantage of the increased Sprite spawn rates and special gameplay bonuses.

You don’t need to participate in both sessions, but joining each one will give you the best chance of finding the featured Grim and Zero Point Sprites. The second session is also useful for anyone who misses the first Power Hour following the Unstable Story Moment live event.

With Chapter 7 Season 3 coming to an end, Mythic Hours is one of the final major events before Fortnite Override launches on August 20. Between the boosted Mythic Sprite rates, improved loot, and free Self-Revive Devices, players will have plenty of reasons to jump back into the Battle Royale after today’s live event.

Sonic Fortnite Collab Reveals Tails Sidekick for Chapter 7 Season 4

14 August 2026 at 18:16

Epic Games has revealed more details about the Sonic Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4 collab, including a Tails Sidekick. Players will be able to get Sonic’s flying fox companion when Fortnite Override launches on August 20.

Tails Sidekick Confirmed for Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4

Epic Games has confirmed that Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4 will feature a Sonic Tails Sidekick. The reveal was a bit of a surprise to fans, as a Sonic Fortnite collab had already been announced in a previous Fortnite Override trailer. However, it now appears that the SEGA crossover will be heavily featured throughout the upcoming season.

The new Sonic Fortnite Override teaser released today shows Peely traveling through the Green Hill Zone POI. Classic Sonic music then begins playing before we see Tails’ iconic twin tails spinning as the player flies across the map. It’s currently unclear whether this is a hint at a new Tails item or a Chapter 7 Season 4 traversal mechanic.

However, the official Sonic social media account confirmed that a Tails Sidekick will be featured in the upcoming Fortnite Override season. Here is what the account wrote after the teaser trailer went live: “That’s one trusty Fortnite sidekick… You wanna fly high, Tails?”

As of the time of writing, Sonic skins have not yet been confirmed for Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4. The first Sonic Fortnite teaser appeared to reveal a Spindash or running item that lets players move like Sonic. Today’s trailer also seems to show a Tails hovering or flying ability.

That said, here is everything revealed for the Sonic Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4 collab so far:

How Long Does Fortnite Sprite Spree Week Last?

Fortnite Sprite Spree Week Schedule
Screenshot: Epic Games

Fortnite Sprite Spree Week lasts five days, beginning with Mythic Sprite Hours on August 15 and ending with Gem Hours on August 20 at 6 AM PT. However, Mythic Hours is the only event that won’t remain active for an entire day. Instead, Epic Games will host two separate Mythic Sprite Hour sessions on August 15.

Galaxy, Holofoil, Cube, and Gem Hours will each last 24 hours, giving players considerably more time to hunt down the variants missing from their collections. Each event immediately leads into the next one, so the featured Sprite variant will change every day at 6 AM PT.

Sprite Collections Will Carry Over to Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4

Although Chapter 7 Season 3 ends on August 19, players won’t lose their current Sprite Collections when the new season begins. Epic Games has confirmed that collected Sprites will carry over to Chapter 7 Season 4 alongside the new Sprite Garden feature.

Sprite Spree Week is therefore a final catch-up event rather than the last opportunity to use your collection. With Galaxy, Holofoil, Cube, and Gem variants receiving their own 24-hour events, players should have a much better chance of filling the remaining gaps before Fortnite Override launches on August 20.

The Fortnite Unstable Story Moment event will go live on August 15, which is a finale to Chapter 7 Season 3. Here is when the Fortnite live event starts in every region and what players can expect from the story experience.

Fortnite Unstable Story Moment Start Time Explained

The Unstable Story Moment Fortnite live event is on Saturday, August 15, and starts at 11 AM PT / 2 PM ET. The live experience will largely serve as a finale to Chapter 7 Season 3 and will set up the game’s story for the Fortnite Override season, which goes live five days later on August 20.

However, the Fortnite Unstable Story Moment experience has multiple events that day, including a lobby queue. Epic Games will also host two Mythic Sprite Hours on August 15, after the live event. During these limited-time Power Hours, some of the game’s rarest Sprites, such as the Zero Point Sprite and Grim Sprite, will appear across the map.

As a result, trying to figure out when to log in based on your region can be a bit confusing. For your convenience, we have created easy-to-read tables below that list when the Fortnite live event starts on August 15:

Fortnite Unstable Story Moment – What to Expect

According to datamine leaks, the Fortnite Unstable Story Moment will only last around three minutes. So, don’t expect it to be a massive story experience like Fortnite Shattered was in Chapter 7 Season 2. Instead, the Fortnite Unstable live event will largely bridge the story from Chapter 7 Season 3 to the Fortnite Override season.

Leaks have also revealed that the Fortnite Unstable Story Moment will feature posters of Sonic and other gaming legends. The story experience will reportedly tease the Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4 collabs that will be heavily featured next season.

Fortnite 99 Nights in the Forest Collab Confirmed for Chapter 7 Season 4

11 August 2026 at 16:44

Epic Games has confirmed that a Fortnite 99 Nights in the Forest collab is coming in Chapter 7 Season 4. A new teaser trailer has revealed that the Roblox crossover will arrive with Fortnite Override on August 20.

A Fortnite 99 Nights in the Forest collab has just been announced for Chapter 7 Season 4. The crossover was revealed in a new Fortnite Override teaser trailer released on X. Epic Games is revealing a new C7S4 collaboration every day in the lead-up to the season’s official launch on August 20. For example, a Sonic Fortnite collab was revealed in yesterday’s teaser.

The 99 Nights in the Forest crossover is pretty surprising, considering Roblox is one of Fortnite’s biggest competitors. However, it appears Epic Games is preparing to team up with one of the platform’s most popular breakout hits of 2025.

The short trailer shows Peely fishing in the woods at night. The game’s iconic deer mascot then attacks the Fortnite character before creepy horror stinger music begins playing. Like the Sonic Fortnite trailer, the clip is pretty short and mostly serves as a teaser confirming the collab will be featured in Fortnite Override.

Fortnite Minecraft Crossover Teaser Debunked

When the Fortnite Override hacking teasers first started on August 10, many believed that the “SurviveTheNight” code was a reference to Five Nights at Freddy’s. However, dataminers later reported that it was likely teasing a Fortnite Minecraft crossover, as the game’s official social media bio included the phrase “survive the night.”

Well, it turns out the “SurviveTheNight” teaser was actually for the 99 Nights in the Forest Roblox crossover. This essentially debunks the theory that this specific teaser confirmed a Fortnite Minecraft collab for Chapter 7 Season 4.

So far, only three Fortnite Override collabs have been confirmed:

  • Sonic: GottaGoFast (Teaser Code)
  • Persona 5: TakeYourHeart (Teaser Code)
  • 99 Nights in the Forest: SurviveTheNight (Teaser Code)

What Is 99 Nights in the Forest?

If you are confused about what the Fortnite 99 Nights in the Forest collab is about, we don’t blame you. After all, most adults don’t actually play Roblox. However, the survival-horror game has become one of the platform’s biggest releases since launching in March 2025.

Developed by Grandma’s Favourite Games, 99 Nights in the Forest tasks players with surviving 99 nights inside a haunted forest. During the day, players gather resources, build up their camp, and search for missing children. At night, they must defend themselves against wolves, cultists, and a terrifying monster known as the Deer.

Despite its fairly simple premise, 99 Nights in the Forest became a massive Roblox phenomenon. The game has accumulated more than 28 billion visits and reached an all-time peak of over 14 million concurrent players, making it one of the platform’s most successful experiences.

With Sonic, Persona 5, and 99 Nights in the Forest already confirmed, Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4 is quickly becoming one of the game’s biggest crossover seasons yet. More collaborations are expected to be revealed before Fortnite Override launches on August 20.

Fortnite Reload Map Rotation Schedule Returns With New Springfield Times

10 August 2026 at 14:07

The Fortnite Reload map rotation has been brought back on August 10 after being temporarily disabled following player backlash. As a result, The Simpsons Springfield map is no longer available 24 hours a day and can now only be played during the final 20 minutes of every hour.

Epic Games has officially brought back the Fortnite Reload map rotation starting today. The feature originally returned on August 3 but was quickly disabled after players criticized the decision to limit The Simpsons Springfield map to a 20-minute window every hour.

Following the backlash, Epic made Springfield available 24 hours a day again. However, that change only lasted a week, as the Fortnite Reload map rotation is now active again on August 10 with a slightly different lineup.

Fortnite Reload now rotates between Oasis, Slurp Rush, and Springfield, with each map remaining active for 20 minutes. This means The Simpsons map is once again only playable during specific times. For your convenience, here is the new Fortnite Reload map rotation schedule:

Fortnite Reload Map Rotation Schedule

  • Oasis: First 20 minutes of every hour
  • Slurp Rush: Middle 20 minutes of every hour
  • Springfield: Final 20 minutes of every hour

For example, Oasis becomes available at 5:00 AM before being replaced by Slurp Rush at 5:20 AM. The Simpsons Springfield map then goes live at 5:40 AM and remains available until the rotation resets at 6:00 AM.

What Time Is the Springfield Map Available in Fortnite Reload?

The Simpsons Springfield map becomes available in Fortnite Reload at the 40-minute mark of every hour and remains live until the following hour begins. For example, Springfield is playable from 1:40 PM until 2:00 PM before returning from 2:40 PM until 3:00 PM.

One annoying thing about the returning Fortnite Reload map rotation is that the new John Wick Sprite can still only be found on the Springfield map. Yes, you can technically eliminate someone in Battle Royale who has it and take it from them.

However, if you want to unlock the John Wick Sprite yourself, you will likely need to know exactly when The Simpsons Fortnite Reload map is available. To make the schedule simpler to track, here is an easy-to-read table showing every Springfield time in Fortnite Reload:

How Long Will the Fortnite Reload Map Rotation Last?

Epic Games has not revealed how long the returning Fortnite Reload map rotation will remain active. For now, Springfield is no longer available 24/7 and will instead return at the same 40-minute mark every hour.

If you want to explore The Simpsons map or hunt down the John Wick Sprite, you should queue into Fortnite Reload a few minutes before Springfield becomes active. Once the clock reaches the beginning of a new hour, the rotation resets to Oasis, and you will have to wait another 40 minutes for Springfield to return.
